Prince Misuzulu Zulu (46) has been named as the preferred new AmaZulu King.

The late Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini-Zulu's will was read out on Friday evening, and it revealed she picked Misuzulu, her eldest son, to succeed King Goodwill Zwelithini.

King Zwelithini (the longest serving Zulu monarch) passed away in March due to coronavirus complications and the late Queen Regent passed away last week.

The Queen's will was read out by her lawyer on live television following her burial in the early hours of the morning.

Family, friends and dignitaries then paid their respects at a memorial service at the palace.

The Queen was fondly remembered for helping others and teaching villagers new skills.

Queen Mantfombi was married to King Goodwill Zwelithini in 1977 and together they had eight children, including the new king Misuzulu.

Succession Battle

A succession battle looks likely as the King had six wives and more than two dozen children.

Queen Mantfombi was the King's third wife but the most senior as she was of royalty - from Eswatini (Swaziland).

However, the King's will is currently being disputed by the first wife.

If it's by eldest by age...the new king is not supposed to be the king
I think his mother is from royal family that's why.
Let them go and look for the solution from their forefathers law...cos i know this is not the first time something like this has happened.

Did the late queen had the crown prince and current king out of wedlock ?
Because from the currents kings age (46) he was born in 1974 and his mother( the late queen ) got married in 1977.
I just want to know if something is missing . Or his the current king an adopted son before the queen got married ?

I think it's time for the Zulu Bantus to rethink this their dress culture.

This is not the first time Zulus are accepting a bastard prince as a successor to the Zulu throne, remember Chaka the Zulu was a bastard.

Secondly Zulus are also known to bury their royalties with with living humans, about 40 people were buried alive together with Chaka mother's corpse.
