thats not realy a slum , on your pic its the old Kasbah of Algiers built in the 10th century. its classified as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage , many remains of the citadel are ruined or in a critical state . many of this old houses were build in the 16th , 17th , 18 th centuries
See? Everyone always has an EXCUSE for other people's development problems, while OVERBLOWING black African issues to high heavens.

THAT IS A FCKING SLUM, YOU HEAR? I don't give two shiits if they made it a UNESCO site or not. Can you live there? Mr Professor of excuses.

If that was a black country, you would not come in here with excuses and rationalisations.

of course there is few small slums in algeria , like you can find in all countries in the world including super powers like USA , France ect... but nothing comparable to the number of slums in many other african countries.
SHUT UP. There are HUGE slums in Algeria and Egypt, which you could not find in MANY black African countries like Botswana, Gabon, Tanzania, Rwanda, Gambia, Namibia, Malawi, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Lesotho, Senegal, Togo, Zimbabwe, Benin Republic, Swaziland, and many others.

You will NOT come in here and stereotype black African nations as all slum-intensive, and everyone else ''just has a little bit of it''.

even if there is a specificity in Algeria. the state is relocating residents of houses in these slums , some people come on purpose to build this kind of makeshift house so that the state gives them a new apartment.
Excuse making expert for oyinbo fck ups. Even in Lagos, there are all sorts of resettlement schemes and bulldozing of slums. It doesn't happen only in 'white' or 'light skinned' people's countries.

Rubbish.

Tinubu spent 8 years in office, so, the countries and the cities you listed were developed within 8 years? Or tens of decades.

Stop compounding your ignorance with more ignorance.

What a sad embarrassment.
I showed you what Lagos looked like in the 60's and 70's and the kind of infrastructure it had, ranging from: a port, national theatre, international airport, national stadium, third mainland bridge just to name a few.

Show us what your Bobo Chicago contributed from 1999-2007.

So, Tinubu should have built a port, national theater, airport and 3rd mainland bridge within 8 years even though, those are Federal Projects?

Your ignorance and primary school mentality is turning comedic and it's sad and appalling for a grown man.

Show us the infrastructure he contributed to Lagos . This is a man that still runs to France for medical treatment.

Obiano just built an airport and so did many northern governors after looting despite the paultry allocation they received . Show us one legacy infrastructural project Bobo Chicago contributed to Lagos state development from 1999-2007.

More pictures from Festac 1977-too bad they abandoned the water project. Stevie Wonder loved the old Lagos when he came for Festac 1977.

More pictures of Festac 1977 when Nigeria was still respected on the global stage and you didn't need visas to travel to UK. And the currency was still strong.

Before agberos took over the streets of Lagos and a former Chicago drug baron became godfather.

The somewhat orderly video of Lagos in 1977.: old huts buildings and bridges with vintage cars, Federal Government building, Nigerian flags fluttering on Government buildings, fishermen fishing with the net on the Guinea Gulf using traditional African boats, Nigerian International Trade Fair LITF with visitors and industrial pavilions of all the Countries in the world, African grey parrot, Psittacus erithacus and Nigerian typical plants in town, a polo game at Lagos Polo Club, go-kart racing in a local arena, and more.

Drive through the former nations capital Lagos in the 70's. Any fake news merchant that tells you Tinubu developed Lagos should be pelted with eggs. He has nothing to show for his eight year tenure.

Most pics there predates independence. Nigeria kills the progress of Lagos, point blank. The Barclays and some British companies even left around the late 70s and early 80s because of the construct of Nigerian government and policies.
How did Nigeria kill the progress of Lagos when it benefitted from Niger Delta oil used to fund numerous federal projects huh.

You didn't need visas to travel to the UK because, thanks to British colonial looting, few Nigerians were educated by 1977 enough to contemplate travelling abroad for anything. At independence in 1960, literacy rate was 6%.

That had moved to around 30% by 1977 courtesy of govt investment in public education, but still a small number, hence no need for visas, because only very few people were literate or educated enough to travel for 'greener pastures'.

Today, with a population of 210 million and a massive 70% literacy rate, there is a far greater mass of educated Nigerians seeking foreign opportunities, hence the imposition of visa conditions by the UK and others.

It is pure demographics and economics, and It has nothing to do with being ''respected'' or not ''respected''.

You need better education to be honest. You reason on a high school level.

I agree with this 100%. Not only Lagos, but Oyo as well. Look at the Cocoa skyscraper that was built in 1968. Yet Oyo is still struggling to build more sky scrapers nearly 60 years later. Lagos should be like Singapore and Tokyo if not for Nigeria and the scores of Nigerian immigrants flooding the city. Just look at how spacious everything was, smh, so much better. They need to start deporting people en masse.

How do you explain majority of Nigerians that schooled abroad coming back to Nigeria in the 70's and 80's. How many Nigerians were risking their lives through Sahara Desert and Mediterrean Sea to get to Europe in the 70's,80's and 90's?

The city planning was really advanced and even though it is in Algeria, it was built by the Romans in 100AD. I shame for Nigeria we have no city planning in any of our cities, except Abuja.
