Whether or not the "kidnapping" is real, here is my advice:
1. Involve the police, through the HOD of your friend's department.
2. Forget about "girlfriends" and focus solely on your studies. If you graduate with excellent grades and eventually get a good job or a thriving business, you will have no problems getting a girlfriend. If you lose focus and fail in your studies, no "girlfriend" will stick with you.
