Today let us look at the cost of cement and blockwork

A cement is a binder, a substance used for construction that sets, hardens, and adheres to other materials to bind them together. Cement is seldom used on its own, but rather to bind sand and gravel together. Cement mixed with fine aggregate produces mortar for masonry, or with sand and gravel, produces concrete

Blockwork is construction with concrete or cement blocks that are larger than a standard clay or concrete brick. To make them lighter and easier to work with they have a hollow core that also improves their insulation capacity.

I know bro, if I say make i save the money daily and sleep inside heat. Heat rashes will finish me. Only one night I slept inside heat when I traveled over the weekend, I developed heat rashes around my neck region. I usually sleep with AC or fan and turn off my Gen around 3am since the room will be cold by then.

Here in Katsina a bag of cement cost N3400, both Dangote and BUA/Sokoto cement. The rate is alarming.

How did we get here?

Garri used to be the cheapest commodity in Nigeria, now a whole day pay on construction site can't afford you garri.

Where I transported with N100 7 years ago, N500 can't take me there and back.

I heard them saying "even if a cup of garri is sold at 5k, God will still provide for his children".... You fail to realize that the only reason you are safe in your house or in your workplace is because there are still people out there who can afford garri. When we get to the stage whereby 90% can't no longer afford to buy a satchel pure water, then you'll realize what humans/animal first instinct is.

Let's all keep quiet, blame and wail without action and watch these folks who by nature all have less than 20/30 years max before they join their ancestors.

Our posterity will question us, just as we question our ancestors.

Imagine a civil servant wife pregnant for a fourth child! One I know of. But what do I know!
