What is the relationship between hacker and cryptocurrency? Before cryptocurrency was there no hacking? The drug lord of Mexico was it not the US Dollars that they were using? Was the US Dollars banned then because the drug trafficking? Focus on the hackers and leave cryptocurrency alone.
Elon did not drop crypto because of the hacking ,but because of something else

However, you can pass on your fustration or anger to Elon Musk. Nor be me get the company wey drop the use of crypto.

They are still the best country in the world. As for this news, it was the company that paid ramson! Not the government.

And I think every country in the world can pay ramson in rare situations but you can never use ramson to leverage the USA.

The US is just a group of humans.

If another person hold you where e bad, you go pay.

Remember the US is not just the federal government. They also have states and municipalities, and these guys have been paying ransom to "release" their systems like kilode.

When US gov pay some huge Ramson for hacker

Just know they are protecting their secrets

Every countries has a top secrets that must not get out of their white house.

First, this has nothing to do with the US government. Second, the name "White House" is only used to refer to where the President and First Family of the United States live and work.

Yes, no doubt but there ought to have been a manual alternative. This is one of the shortcomings of IT. You can hack information and figures posted on the computer system but if you had the record of same info as back up in a filed booklet, you can never go off track
Men, there is but systems are so complex nowadays that manual alternatives are just not viable.
I work in the power industry and despite the millions being invested in internet security, the greatest fear/risk of the company is still Russian hackers getting into out transmission system.

This is like when they catch and release mafia associates only to move their investigation along. Furthermore, I'm sure there's CIA death squads envoys addressing the issue abroad.

An attack on infrastructure definitely concerns government. That's why the hackers were quick to say they're not politically motivated.

For those masturbating about the ransom payment, the difference is that the traitors/hackers will be hunted down to face justice no matter how long it takes. Unlike our people here that indirectly fund terrorists activities through continuous ransom payments. How many of the ransom collectors have been brought to justice? Will be good to know.

It is the company that paid, and not the US Government.

Eventually, the combined US Government intelligence efforts will catch them, the company can’t wait that long as they have to resume business otherwise they can go bankrupt or a competitor can take over their client or base.

This is not the first time, this has happened in the US....just like everywhere else, individuals, families and companies do negotiate with the bad guys just to rescue their love ones precious commodity despite the stands of the Government.
