Daily is better if the money we are talking about is not that big.. any money you remove for dailys savings will be there for you. But salaries you may end up not saving and even owing before salary comes, especially during this Buhari regime.

This can only happen if you don't treat your workers well. Besides, people would leave even if you pay them yearly.

Daily pay should be better. You use it to solve your immediate needs. By the time monthly income comes around, you might probably be owing a couple of debts. Most people who depends on monthly income end up debtors especially if it's a small salary.

So yours is from a punitive angle?

If we really consider it well, it's daily pay that pay well for the workers.
The payment will be on hourly base agreement for example if you're on working scale of #500 to #600 Per hour as a Nurse you will earn nothing less thank 150k to 200k at the end of the month but monthly agreement will give the workers a weak bargaining like 80k to 100k/month

When people say daily money, it doesn't mean monthly income divided by 30..

Hmmmm, monthly payment is still the best, but it depends on the employer and if the employees agrees with the daily or weekly payment, that's okay.

A lump sum of payment for the payee is always better.

You can plan on it and projections can be made on savings based on the expected amount.

Daily can be good if the daily pay after a month is as reasonable in terms of value as receiving it by month end. However, it takes a higher level of discipline to maintain daily inflows than receiving a lump sum once in a month.

It depends on how well one manages funds.

To be on the safe side, monthly works best to enable one plan better.

financial discipline is key- when you do not know how to manage money, you end up in debt or being broke. The reality is how can one control spending and save and invest more. Have you notice that some people do not make a lot and still are better than some people who make more money

It is depends on the amount paid. To be frank, both can never make u rich in fact it's act of slavery. Nothing good past be your own boss

It's mainly unskilled staff that are paid daily wages.

You cannot pay a professional staff such as an accountant or a lawyer on a daily basis

My friend owns a restaurant, she pays her workers daily, she does not owe anyone of her workers. They are free to leave the job anytime. they pay daily contribution too.

My other friend owns a boutique. she pays her workers monthly, sometimes the amount would overwhelm her, she would owe her staff for months.

Considering the current situation of Nigeria and how most employers find it difficult to pay staff salary at once. don't you think we should scrap monthly salary and opt for weekly or daily salary?

The country is not ripe for daily or weekly pay. The economy is poor and there is scarcity of purchasing power in the society

Same could happen after a monthly pay.

Daily pay is for casual workers period .... as in if I'm a contractor building a house .... today I need 4 labourers to fetch sand, etc. I pay them at the end of day because.... I may not need them tomorrow. I have a restaurant..... I need a cook every day ... I pay him at the end of the day ... tomorrow he doesn't show up ... then what? Weekly/bi weekly pay or salary. The boutique owner has the money but just cannot allow herself to part with it. Meanwhile ... the employees I'm sure are paying themselves by selling her merchandise under the counter.
