I applied for mine since 4th of November 2020 at Ibadan passport office. and till date I am yet to receive it.

This passport issue has increased my hatred for this unfortunate country, I can't wait to leave for good.

I also applied around that time, I had links in ogun,oyo & osun immigration to get the passports. This thread opened my eyes. Folks taught I was mad when I travelled all the way to Ikoyi to get it. Twice.

Still warning my friends in those states ,apply there at your own peril if you don't want to pay extra. I guess the same apply to lagos to now.

Please are you saying NIN won't be an issue in other states? My spouse has name and age discrepancies on his NIN,can he check out another state like Niger or Nasarawa?

nin is not in use yet for passport application in other states...

This is not a fresh passport that i did but a renewal. You never know what can happen at the time of applying for a renewal. Last five years i applied for the 5years passport ignoring the 3yrs passport just to avoid the stress of coming back to renew after 3yrs. Look at what is happening now that i applied for renewal. No one is perfect. In a country like Nigeria, you know what it is. You are just lucky and don't be too happy..lol it can be your turn another year.
I just feel for people who really need it soon and those that lost opportunities as a result of this delay.

There's nothing like 3 years valid passport in Nigeria ó.

At least since I started procuring my international passport since year 2004

Always the 5 years, 32 pages until when the 64-page and 10-year validity options were introduced.

Only Lagos, Abuja and PHC have 10 years passport seems other state don't or hardly have. I contacted an officer yesterday to confirm this

This is what u should do, go on facebook and search for NIS Kaduna passport office, on their page copy out their WhatsApp number and chat them up. Tell them u've captured since January and till now, no green light, give them ur ID number to check for u if it's ready. They'll contact u back immediately.

Please, do we have to blame those paying more to actually get what they want at the right time, many have captured since december without passport, I captured on the 8th of February and no passport yet, all the admission window are closing under my own very eyes because I don't have passport.

The situation of the country is in the state of despondent and despicable, I am not supporting bribe but, probably you can't understand what those in my situation are facing and will do anything possible to get the passport if they have the opportunity in terms of the financial strength or the connection.

I can't pay 35k for passport. I did everything myself, 17,500 or thereabout. My passport was even ready before those who paid 40k. After capturing, just make sure u keep mounting pressure on them by chatting them up. Let them know u have timeline for what u're using it for. Don't be surprised, ur passport might have been ready since and u don't know. If u're waiting for them to call or message u for collection, this is Nigeria o. Talking from personal experience.

no advantage. In normal scenarios, it is for frequent travellers that might amass a lot of visa stamps in a 5 year period hence need to have more passport pages... that is 32 pages as against 64 pages... but anyone can get it to be honest

Imagine getting 64 pages for 75k only to use it as means of identification for ten years till the thing expires. That one na gbese o. That will not be any body's portion in Jesus name.

I don't know their WhatsApp number, just go on Facebook and search for NIS Kaduna command. Then from the page, check for their WhatsApp number. I did mine @ Oshogbo area command, and that's the way I went about it. Each state command has Facebook page.
