She's working and couldn't have time to visit me first..she would be sponsoring the visa and she's a citizen..
Pls how can she invite me and what are my chances...

Approval of visa and travel to the US Is not seen through the lens of religion.
Just follow the steps set up by the US government. All this I am a Muslim and she's a Muslim matter will just get you flagged for no reason. Don't let anyone put unnecessary attention on you. Live your life as you want.
If you have a reason to go to the US, go ahead.
She can't "invite" you and your chances are 50:50. You get approved or you get denied.

Hello, please which airline did you use? Delta is expensive and I intend traveling with my children.
Thank you
Qatar Airways... sorry for the late response. I have not been on the platform in a while.

Hello guys, are Walgreens and CVS pharmacy's covid 19 tests are acceptable for travel requirements back to Nigeria? Suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Segun889: 10:55pm On May 14, 2021
As long as it’s a PCR test, it doesn’t matter if it’s CVS pharmacy arranging the test or Walgreens

Hi,I know this must have been asked on this group before so pardon me for asking.

I have a family member in usa and I have been given an appointment date at the US embassy.

Can someone please tell me the documents that I am expected to come along with for tourist/visiting visa.

Thank you.

Make sure it is PCR Test you do at those pharmacies. That other one is not valid for Nigeria... I can't remember what it is called.
Why not go to any CVD Test Centre by the State. I heard it is free in the US. All those tent and traffic cones we see the pictures of.

Hi fam, please I have been denied USA visa 2 times and the last denial was in 2020 and for both I wasn’t given any precise reason because I was going for renewal. My daughter is an American citizen and all the while I told them I was traveling for vacation but not going with her. Now I want to book for another interview but I’m really worried about a 3rd denial, plus this time I want to travel with her because she hasn’t been to her birth country since after giving birth to her and she talks about snow all the times like she wants to have the experience.
So are they people that have gotten like 2 or 3 refusals and eventually got the visa in their next attempt?

How precise do you need the reason to be?
Why do you think you were denied?
Did you chop awuf discount when you born your pikin?
Just because your kid wants to go "see snow" in her birth country doesn't entitle you to a visa. Nigerians una too dey do this thing.

You don't have to go with your kid, if you have relatives in the States airlines have program that can accommodate unaccompanied minors i do it all the time.

Unless you tell us the whole story not half truth, people can tell you what's up but not guarantee you anything.

At the end of the day na your money you won't know the outcome unless you keep paying that visa fee.

Last question, snow dey south Africa why can't you take your kid there?

I travelled to the usa 2018 and I went there to spend my money biko so don’t get why I was refused. My last refusal was January 2020, it’s over a year so I will try again.

Hello, thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread. It's no small job that is being done here.

I have a situation and I'd like to hear our experienced persons' take on it.

I want to visit the states so as to satisfy the fiance visa meeting requirement. Been more than 2 years since the last meeting between me and my gf of 10 years whom I now intend to marry.

Is the above a satisfactory answer when asked why I intend to visit the states? Do I need to bring proof of relationship to support my answer? I do have tons of those.

Also, I intend to run my masters degree in a university close to her home after we get married and I'm legally residing in the states. But just in case I apply for a visit visa and don't get it, will that affect my chances with f1?

What would you advice?

Thank you sincerely.

Reapply and be positive.....

Just be hopeful you are directed to a calm VO who will listen to the reason why you need the visa.

2 past refusal has no effect on your new application, since you didn't abuse any of your past visas.

Good luck

How do you know he/she did not knowingly or unknowingly abuse their visa? Renewing a visa is usually a straightforward matter unless there is an overstay, a birthing related issue or a change in the applicant’s ties/circumstances (employment status). There is a reason the person has been denied twice. A transcript may help.

That’s because I said so and that person’s response is based on what I said.

I gave birthday to my child 2012 and I paid in cash ( I have all my receipts). I traveled 2018 and my visa expired 2019 so I tried renewing a month(November 2019) after it expired I was denied. I tried again Jan 2020 and same thing happened. However I noticed there were lots of denials on both instances.

If I overstayed or had any issue, trust me I won’t bring this here, I brought it here because I don’t understand why. In fact, I had to ask the VO why I was refused because I was shocked.

People keep checking at odd hours

The reason there are few dates for 2021 for nonIV is that they have a backlog of almost half a million immigrant visas that require interview dates. Immigrant visas are being given priority now.
Backlog is due to corona and the bans from Trump's administration
Just to clarify the number of half a million is worldwide not specific to Nigeria.
There is a backlog across all embassies, delays with embassies differ

Let me try to shed more light on the birthing issue as you seem to be missing an important point that was mentioned by the poster you seem to have an issue with. The problem may not be ensuring that you paid all your bills. It could also be that you were charged a subsidized amount. It's typically the fact that hospitals in the US at that time provided discounts to cash paying customers which brought the price down significantly below what the embassy considers market rate. The inference they are making (right or wrong) is that non cash paying customers (insurance and the taxpayer/Medicaid) are subsidizing cash paying non citizen patients. The way around this is to bring your proof of payment showing that you paid "market rate". In addition, there were some hospitals that the embassy knows for doing this, such that once they see receipts from these hospitals, it becomes an uphill battle to overcome. I recall there were one or two in Texas. BTW, just curious about this. If you gave birth in 2012 and travelled on the same visa in 2018, it implies that you probably got a multiple entry visa in 2012 close to the time you traveled. Did you disclose that you were travelling for birthing purposes/you were pregnant with intention to give birth in the US at the time of the visa interview and at point of entry? How long did you say you were staying at POE vs how long did you actually stay? Note that it could be problematic if for example you said you were staying 2 weeks and stamped in for 6 months then stayed past the 2 weeks you stated at POE. Consistency/honesty is key. The interviewer has all that info on their computers. These are all issues that sometimes haunt folks at renewal.

I am new here and need some assistance and guidance

I have a friend in the US, a professor who is very much older than me. I have been assisting him with his banking transactions here in Nigeria for over 4 years now. We are so close.

He wants me to come over and spend my next year leave with his family in the US.

What documents does he need to send to me and what are my chances. What is the format of the invitation letter he will write. These are all he said I should find out

Please note that I am still in the employment of the bank .

Your assistance to my enquiries will be highly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance and do have a lovely weekend

Gone are the days......

The Embassy is now something else, the way they handle B1B2 visa applicants is wack and makes no sense, they issue visa base on your profile filled, composure and the VO present mood.

No intense scrutiny of documents.
