Chelsea was actually written on the 2020/2021 Champions league cup I don't know if its a mistake by UEFA. The same thing happened in 2012.

I don't even know what Tammy Abraham do to this Tuchel guy. Not playing him, no even a mention on the bench,

Yet Timo and Hakim nah 1mins hot the next cold,

Those chances they were busy missing, ah sure me say Tammy go bury dem

ziyech was so disappointing to watch. for a player that possess so much quality, he shouldn't show up in big games with a poor fighting spirit.

Happy weekend guys, really elated reading individuals comments on Rohr list and really surprised to see conclusion of the majority that Rohr is not in charge...i remember it was on this thread someone like Kokmne and forgiveness always saying Rohr is not fully in charge when it comes to player invitation.

Really no one ever ask question on how Marcus Abraham made the team. This guy was ex Remo fc player before joined Fareinse who have a Nigerian Kunle Soname has largest shareholder, the same Kunle owned Fc Remo and he was one of those that influenced appointment of Rohr as eagles coach...am saying this that some players got invitation based on their network and it is left for them to convince the coach....Maduka Okoye got his invitation as division three player based on strong recommendation of Darlington Omodiagbe and it paid well...Chiedebere Nwakili got his invitation based on his brother who is an agent but he couldn't measured up....it should be noted that no coach played with his job, invitee does not guarantee that a player made the squad.

But the big question is why inviting mediocre player at the expense of performing player.I don't see any reason for inviting Ezenwa,Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi and rookie like Marcus when we have Nwakili and Nwobodo who are doing well this season.I don't think anyone has ever mentioned Abraham Marcus on this thread.

Nigeria is a country that is totally different from any country in the world, various interests that must be respected but it should not be applied to sports like football cos you must present your best to be champion.

It is only Rohr that can answer any questions arising from his team list or how a player made his team...blaming NFF when coach didn't speak up is uncalled for.He should just come out and say it out and trust Nigerians he would be fully supported.

So, Abraham Marcus na division 2 player. A winger for that matter. shocked

This is Man know man connection. I thought he is a Portuguese first division player. Wow!

This is corruption at work.

Cyril Dessers score today for Genk. I hope he get game time next season. This our super eagles squad have about 7 to 8 player's fighting for the position of
9 that is nice but my problem is just the midfield we lack creativity in the super eagles set up how I wish Jay Jay okocha was in this generation afcon next year for sure

Good write up. But the reality is that there would always be one player that would be snuggled into a squad through one means or the other.
Not that I am condoning this, but I am reminding you that it has always been the case . Some times it pays-off, that is if the player turns up with a good performance but often times, such players don't turn up well. I remember it was Joseph Yobo that brought in a certain unknown Abbey George into the Team. And he turned out to be a great RB player for the team. Victor Osimhen was recommended to Emma Amuneke by Tijani Babangida. See where Osimhen is today.
Again, I am not condoning such, especially in the national team where players should be invited on merit; but the thing is no be today. And it also happens in different teams across the world. Let the Marcus come and prove himself, abi na? After all, it is a friendly encounter.

Vardy was poor, missed too many chances today, but the difference between him and Nacho today was he didn't burn out. He also pressed more, and his speed threat kept Silva back, stopping Chelsea from completely bringing everyone out for the attack.
Well Seniorman Kelechi Iheanacho joins Nigeria SE stars to lift the FA Cup. I believe that's what matters in the end.

The narrative/argument/logic of Ndidi winning a major trophy before he can be regarded here by some as World Class is now practically defeated.

Plus he has shown he doesn't have to move to "Bigger" Clubs to win laurels. He just won a major one with Leicester by defeating one of the "Bigger Clubs". grin

Should Ndidi still move? Ofcos he should BUT only when the time is right for him. His perseverance has strongly paid off. The Best CDM in England bags his first Trophy in England. Justice!!!!
