Unknown Gunmen Storm Apumiri Police Station In Abia, Set Facility Ablaze (pic) by AmadiAba(op): 7:52am On May 17, 2021

Unidentified Gunmen have attacked Apumiri Ubakala Police Station in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State in the early hours of Monday 17th May 2021, IgbereTV reports.

IgbereTV gathered that the dare-devil gunmen numbering between 5 and 10 arrived at the station around 1.30am in the morning and open fire.

They went ahead to set the facility on fire.

As at press time, there is no information on casualties.

Attacks on police station and INEC offices in and around Abia State has been on the increase recently. Few days ago, Bende Police Station was also attacked and razed down.

Before Bende Police Station, Uzuakoli Police Station and Ubani Market Police Station was also attacked.

All efforts to speak with the Abia State Police PPRO was unsuccessful as calls to his phone number were not answered nor returned.
