2.When 5 is subtracted from four times a number and the remainder is divided by 3, the result becomes 7. What the number?


3. Three times a certain number added to 14 is the same as when 2 times the number is subtracted from 6. What the number?


4.(m/2-2/3) (m+2/3).


Pls when solving try to be explanatory as possible as I want to learn how to solve these questions.

The subject you mentioned are within my area of specialization (Pure Mathematics).
I want you to understand that you need to understand elementary Inequalities to be able to make any reasonable progress in Real Analysis. I strongly suggest you read about triangle inequalities as well. A well grounded knowledge in Coordinate Geometry is highly recommended as well.

As for Algebra. You need intellectual maturity. But this can only be gotten by dedicating time and effort towards understanding the basics of proof writing techniques and Mathematical logic.
