Kidnappers on the prowl on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Lagos State. Reports indicate several persons abducted about 8pm yesterday night by gunmen #UGM . There have been growing cases of abduction along Ozumba Mbadiwe, Falomo and Admiralty way in recent time.

While many were released after being disposed of their valuables & account emptied, some were not so lucky to make it back alive. One of d victims of yesternight’s abduction disclosed she was pressed to d floor of d vehicle & driven round Lekki for about 3hrs b4 finally released.

After being dispossessed of her ATM cards, PIN and accounts emptied. Tale like hers is becoming a daily thing along that axis. These abductors use unpainted taxis and in some cases, tinted SUVs. @PoliceNG @Prince_Muyen actions to stem this tide is urgently needed.

This is really sad, nowhere is safe in this country anymore undecided

upon all the billions being allocated for security it keeps getting worse sad

The Lagos state government should better call sheik GUMI to help them talk to the kidnappers to leave Lagos

I doubt if this is a genuine piece of information. This particular handle reported this piece of information that occurred last night this morning on Twitter, I checked everywhere and no reputable news outlet reported this. My friends on the island aren't aware that such happened

Something of this magnitude wouldn't have happened in Lagos and it would go unnoticed , it would have been a trending story.

This is more likely to be a fake news emanating from nowhere.

There is fire on the Mountain and nobody seems to be on the run.

It will get to a point that anybody can bundle anybody and empty them of their valuables. It has gotten to that point.

But guess what! The politicians still believe it is politics. Till no one will remain on the soil of the country, it is politics. What an insane country!

No kidnapper will settle for ATM cards.

I think our security architecture can only handle Nigerian state of 1990, not 2020. Everything in Nigeria has remain at the same shocked

spot, except the population. Nothing like forward thinking and planning for this huge and growing population from all levels of govt. I believe what is happening now is just the tips of the iceberg. The solution to all our problems comes down to one point: planning for the future and appropriate execution. And corrupt people should be dealt with without favour. Many nations have done it before. Nigeria is not an exception. China is a good case study. All Hope is not lost. Nigeria can still be great!
