Yes you can start your application now if you have your CAS & all other required documents. The visa would be issued if no issues and the earliest entry date into the Uk will be stated. So you can definitely apply for your visa even up to 6 months before your start date as stated on the Uk Gov site.

However, the challenge with this idea is that my dad, unfortunately, left us last year, and my mum uses her personal surname for all her documents and not my dad's name. That can generate a lot of question marks around the account if the names don't match as we use our dad's name.

Secondly, even if we plan to use his account, there's the possibility of them tracing the money back to his account and discovering that it won't be enough for two different people. Hence, this route is currently the best option at our disposal without any hitches. Thanks for your suggestion.

Since you have sole custody and in the custody paper , the dad doesn’t have visitation rights, then you don’t need a letter from him . But if he has visitation rights , ask him to write a consent letter saying he’s okay with forfeiting his visitation rights so he can be with you as you are the sole custodian and he can’t take care of him .
Then would be nice to google Junior schools around the area where you would be studying, send them a mail stating that you want to move to the UK for study and you would like your son to attend the school . They will most likely tell you to send your visa when you get it but just the mail thread that you are making effort to secure his schooling is important . Include that mail in your application, so also the after school, find out and send them mails too , so the HO can see you are making arrangements for him . In your cover letter , explain where he would be after school while you study .

Yes you can . Just search for universities that accept third class for masters

When i got home, i nervously opened it, there my VISA was smiling at me.....

You can check if they accept WAEC...

Proof of Everything proficiency is usually from your school here in Nigeria stating you were taught and examined in English...
It is usually issued by the exams and record department. Ask for it the same way you asked for Transcript..

They should address the letter to your school

My advice for you is to make use of commercial banks only. It will be sad to receive refusal, on what u could be avoided

You need 6 months working behind feb 2022 so July should be fine . With naija it one day at a time so work with what you have... use the passport and if there opportunity get a new one also process it by the side but I think you just about fine
