Hahahaha! This made me laugh. I have been there. I had to start my own business after frustration nearly killed me. I remember the last straw was when I fell inside gutter while coming back from job hunt...with my file and all my life documents.

In developed countries there is nothing like age restrictions. You dare not put your age on your resume. I remembered when I was still in Nigeria hunting for jobs, every company I interviewed always demand your birth certificate before onboarding successful candidates. Seriously I don't know who brought this nonsense age restrictions to Nigerians employers, because such is not obtainable in developed countries. No wonder 90 percent of job seekers in Nigeria keep reducing their official age year in year out, in order to beat the system. I think is high time government intervene and stop this age restrictions nonsense. Well, I forgot that our leaders are useless and thus nothing will be done to change this narrative. Sad indeed �!

True is everyone cannot get a white collar job. I personally isn't a fan of working 8 - 5 inside a closed tiny office with so much pressure and target to met and at the end still stressed out with nothing or little to show for it.

It think it is easier to be self employed in the 70s - 90s then now.

As an educator, the practice of limiting employment age of some jobs to say 24 years is one of the major destructive factors in our education! It must be stopped! Parents are desperate to have their children graduate at 19years so that he/she can secure these jobs. But what can a 19 year old lady know that makes him ready for the world out there?

The main problem is not even the young age at graduation. The greater problem is the defective learning process the lad has been put through. When he was supposed to playing and developing foundational creative and problem solving skills, he would be compelled to cram things that are beyond him. This very precious opportunity at below 5 years is lost and may never to undone!

This insane practice of limiting jobs for very young graduates must be STOPPED!

They're trying to trim people down.
I once handled the printing of over 600 applications for a job opening for less than 6 people. You can imagine the whole trouble when there's no age limit on that.
It's unfortunate but necessary

Must they print 600 applications. Have tabs and laptops stopped functioning? Sorting and analysis are even better done in the digital format.
