Seun Okinbaloye 'Poor Interview' With Malami Sparks Social Media Reactions by gistsmill04: 5:37am On May 20, 2021
Attorney General of the federation and minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, was recently a guest at Channels television. Channels TV host, Seun Okinbaloye took up the duty to interview the minister.

However, many Nigerians are of the view that Seun Okinbaloye is not an intelligent host as he failed to ask sensitive and vital questions. They felt Malami should have been grilled with so many big questions in relation to Nigeria’s current situation.

Here are some interesting tweets concerning Seun ‘s interview:

Lee tweeted: Seun Okinbaloye should resign and go home
His interviews on channels this days is nothing to write home about, very annoying, asking baby questions instead of reasonable and challenging questions
If you’re scared then stop doing interviews

Another tweet read: They give little or nothing but feel so entitled. Spare parts sellers rent shops, buy landed properties, pay taxes, kill no one, rapes no one. But those who destroy alcohol and still enjoy its tax revenues from other state are making weak comparisons, Seun you are not doing well!

Channels TV tweeted: On the issue of banning grazing, the AGF asks if you deny the rights of a Nigerian citing the example of Northern governors coming together to ban the trade of spare parts in the north. Does it hold water.

Nigerians on Twitter were displeased with such comparison and called it a weak one.

OG tweeted: That was a very poor comparison.. selling of Spare parts does not lead to insecurity… but open grazing clearly does, Seun just didn’t point that out.

A.zed tweeted: And this is my biggest frustration with Seun. He gets the biggest newsmakers on his show but rarely challenges them nor does he ask intelligent follow up questions.

Anybody – Malami, Fayose, Gumi – can come on his show, make the most ludicrous claims & Seun will let it slide

It’s obvious from tweets that Seun lacks the skills required of a good host. Do you think so?

I think it's about time the show gets cancelled or the host resigns because he's too scared to ask vital questions. BTW, comparing spare parts business to cow business just shows low IQ of the quota system Mallam. How many people have died through the sale of spare parts directly or indirectly in the North?undecided

They should get Maupe Ogun-Yusuf to replace him. To the best of my knowledge, that lady knows Nigeria's politics like the back of her palm and never afraid to grill anyone who agrees to appear on her show. Seun Okin has probably become a social climber.

Trying to be at your best but failing to shine when the opportunity surfaces. Is Seun afraid of something we don't know? Being frank with issues without mincing words is what separates the men from the boys. Seun needs his balls to be very hard.

I believe Channels TV has been compromised. They've lost that jagged edge that made them outstanding.

At the end of each show when e be say Seun himself can't wait to ask them "oga anything for your boy?" and you expect him to be challenging to his political hosts during interviews...Una dey waste Una time.
No be for that same show Malami confirmed 4.2 billion pounds Ibori loot has been paid into the federation account and you expect Seun to be professional..Una wan put sand sand for niggas garri.. grin
Seun himself knows he's compromised already.
If you believe he's scared, you are deceiving yourselves...his pocket always in his mind.
This is the truth believe it or not.

How many of you are willing to replace him and ask those question?

Seun has always been careful with asking deep questions but he always throws one or two questions along the way to expose the hypocrisy of his guests, but never a direct question that will put him or his family in danger.

I just like that Seun of a guy, he takes his 'whying' to the optimum during live interviews, as he will pretend as if he is cool with his guests.

Imagine, he made Yahaya Bello to say "All Nigerians want me to run for President"

And later the statement was tweeted using channelstv official twitter handle.

Meanwhile, lemme also eye men for Hot stuffs grin grin grin

What that means from malami.
Is there are many ways of Reprisal from the North .

If Generally Fulani HERDSMEN would be ban from their open-grazing without any concrete fact that they(One of them particularly ) carried out a particular menace as they always alleged.

What is the purpose of Amotekun? ESN nko.?
Even if they ban open-grazing they will later not be satisfied because that's not the actual reason for it's banning.

Then taking similar decision from the Northerners will balance the equation. As soon as Nigeria remaines one nobody will ban anything for any body.

I may asked the North to look for a vital Reprisal to send away millions of migrators and land Occupiers from the South living in the North.

Note that; Northerners are taking over the sells of Spare parts Business in North,
I myself being part of the progress.

Am a Nigerian youth who's Very much interested in big farming. I have done some other aspects of farming which includes catfish farming, egusi farming, sugarcane /
plantain farming ( I still have small farm Sha ), cucumbers too

Now unhalf of my farmers who aspire to invest in this money spinning biz ,am begging the federal government and northern governors to Help us secure some hectares of Land in Sokoto.Myself in particular would like to get my big pen constructed direct opposite Central Mosque sokoto .

I would need the assistance of hisba police in this lucrative business and hope to employ Many workers there ..

I really love the fact that our constitution say we can live and do business anywhere as Nigerians

Also cost of feeding our pigs will be reduced as we will be buying raw materials for feed formulation at cheaper price

Opportunity missed! The young man needs more training to learn how to hold these government ministers in their game. He should watch foreign broadcasters and see how they do it. You must be smart and intelligent, and be ahead of them in the game.

It's quite unfortunate a whole AGF would compare the
open grazing banningg with spare part traders in d north Which does not constitute security nuisance in the north. How can an AGF be bias supporting a section of the country against another due to religion and ethnic stand...Nigeria is doom d moment Buhari became d president
Make ona no still blame seun o...the guy get family to cater for...no one knows d amount of threat he faces daily due to his Interview. Last last na RIP we go talk if anything bad happen to am

About the comparison between open grazing and spare parts sellers,

All of us @ say selling of Spare parts does not lead to insecurity… but some open grazing clearly do lead to insecurity.
So that comparison doesn't make any sense to us, (our opinion).

That being said,
Seun is one Political Analyst that we have been watching on Channels TV for many years now, and overall, he is doing a yeoman's job.
He's well above his peers.
Cut him some slack please

Seun, if you are reading this, keep up the good job you are doing.
Remain as non-partisan as you are so that your viewers can continue to hold you in high esteem.
No matter what you do in this world, you can never ever please everybody.
Do your best and have rest of mind.

We Rise!

CharlotteFlair:
I will not condemn Seu.n because of one poor outing, he's still the best.

He lured Malami to make foolish comments on national TV, now Malami is in the eyes of the storm not the interviewer.
You are so in our mind with this post.
You've said it all.
Nice day!

clarocuzioo:

Cut him some slack on a burning national issue?

The AGF used his platform to threaten peaceful genuine businessmen and he allowed it to slide?

Very soon you are going to see the chaos this will degenerate to if not stemed in the tide now. That's how Nigeria became a disaster especially under the dullard because of cutting slack.

Grow up kiddo.
If this is how your brain interprets our mature and reasonable comment.
And if Cut him some slack is the only thing your brain can pin point in all you quoted above,
Then you can't be helped at all.
This is the only reason we ignore kids like you here always.
Replying you and your ilks is only a waste of time and space.
Gone are the days you have intelligent and mature political discourse with mature minds on this forum,
Now, Kids have taken over!
Go quote and mention your fellow wailers......okay?
Politics of bitterness and hatred has turn you and your fellow kids to something else.

Give them an inch and ....................

Honestly, Seun was at his lowest yesterday.

It was as if the minister had threatened him before the interview.

What a calamity of an interview! angry

The ban on open grazing can only be compare with the ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol and the ban of betting and betting centers by some northern governors.

Seun is just a disgrace to journalism. See how someone that has himself a journalist is afraid to ask his guest questions.
That's why Nnamdi Kanu is always calling out Our Yoruba Journalists. This is a shame.
