Hallos People,

Good afternoon.
Is it possible to revive a lead acid battery (fullriver/ritar) decommissioned for about 3 years? Will pulse charger do it?

How many amp?
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by ceejay80s(m): 7:19am On May 19, 2021
desulfating , takes long, u just need to have patience ,depending on how long ur battery has been sitting idle and unused ,size too, since i bought my fullriver battery, last week was the first time the charger clicked 00.0amp charge, before it will be on 0.8amp (desulfating) for 48hrs straight up and sometime its 14.8v 0.5 or 0.3amp.
but now it i get 0.00amp full charge, which means it took the charger 2 months to fully desulfate the battery, mine is brand new who knows how long the battery has been in their office before i purchased it, but if u have a used one that has been idle for a long time, it might take longer time to desulfate and again battery size matters

ceejay80s:
Foxsur has a lot of positive reviews online:
Available in jumia
Package includes
1 x Car battery charger
1 x User manual
Features & details
Microprocessor-controlled - automatically adjusts the charge current and maintainability. Automatic voltage detection:detection for 12V or 24V battery. Finger touch charging mode button
HIGHLY COMPATIBLE: Suitable for both 12V and 24V batteries, it works with SLA, WET, MF, FLOODED, GEL, VRLA, AGM, EFB batteries, meaning that it can be used for the batteries in cars, motorcycles, boats, mowers and others.
TOTAL PROTECTION: The battery charger offers safety features including reverse-polarity protection, over-current protection, overload protection, over-voltage protection, over-charge protection, and over-temperature protection.
SIMPLE AND PRACTICAL TO USE: Using a backlit LCD display, the Foxsur battery charger clearly and visibly shows LCD screen displays charging status and battery status; charge voltage, charge current, inside temperature, battery full, summer mode, winter mode, etc.
Pulse repair function can help to repair your loss battery and extend battery life. Note: It can not activate a dead battery or repair a battery which is damaged seriously; it also can not repair a battery back to 100% new.

Be very careful with this Charger, you might end up with a fake!
First, the name is "generic", anyone can just print that name Foxsur on it.
I have seen the same thing in various names, in the last 12months. Some dont even have name at all.

I actually bought one from Jumai-Online and the reason l did that was because my cousin who lives in the UK recommended the Charger to me, as he had used it successfully to charge and revive his Car battery (which shows that it is a very good Charger).

But the one l bought here in Nigeria, destroyed TWO 80Amps Dry Cell Car batteries. It completely destroyed them. The batteries were just getting hot and hot, till l felt one was even boiling inside! shocked angry
So l called my Cousin and told him about the Wahala he had led me into.
On examination, he showed me that the one l bought could be a "poor" Chinese imitation.
The one he bought over there was named Orius and he showed it to me. I had him send me two of it and they are both working very well. I am now wondering, how come the Jumia's own was so defective and damaging to batteries?

See the different names and pictures below

But if you get the original, l can confirm it is a good charge, can operate 12V/24V and the best thing about it that l like is that some chargers that l have used before, if they take power, you will have to put it on again when Power is restored but this one just picks up by itself.
That means l can use it as a trickle charger, if l leave a battery unattended to, for many months.

Nice one bro and thanks for the heads up, your write-up has been quite insightive. But we need to get a few things straight that you mentioned in the course of your write-up, first; let me state that ORIUS is a rebranded FOXSUR, just rebranded for the seller in the UK, there's no difference between the two. Secondly; you hit it on the head when u said if one gets the original FOXSUR then there's improved performance but let's also have it in mind that FOXSUR is a little more expensive than the "generic" ones in the market.

Lastly, I bought the exact generic one that u posted above and I can say based on the feedback from the person using it, it's been doing a great job so far, I believe the issue you had with yours was that of optimum setting as most of the settings are manually inputted or your batteries had bad cells already and once that happens, nothing can fix that battery. These could be ascribed to the heating up of the batteries as that's a clear sign of a bad cell.

Don't get me wrong, a premium product is a premium product as we can see from the automatic start-up of the charger after power is restored. But for those who can't afford the premium ones, the generic can still get the job done, just know the limitations and not expect a dog to do a donkey's job cos they both have four legs.

Once again thanks a bunch, i believe a lot of prople have learnt quite a lot from your experience.

Bros quite a lot of people are silently using it without saying anything. I got to hear about it from someone who bought an Anjing from me and i must say it's a good charger as you can instantly start pulse repair charging without waiting for the battery to fill up like Anjing, the only drawback being that it's not a bulk charger like Anjing and can only effectively charge small capacity batteries, but for those who require it for a bigger bank then you must get a bulk charger and connect together to get faster charging while the FOXSUR does the pulse charging.

I am speaking from personal experience and research, I would welcome other comments so we all can learn.

Maybe the Foxsur is the one that is rebranded as Orius because the Orius is available direct from China but as l said, once what you bought is the original, from the Manufacturer, it should be good to go.
As you can see, the generic, re-branded njavascript:void(0);ames are so many and Foxsur is just one of them.

Now, nothing is wrong with my batteries or settings as you suggested, it was the product, probably a fake one, that damaged it.
Dont forget that it damaged the first battery, then l was not so sure and connected the second one, which was actually removed from my other car and it damaged it too.

The settings are very simple for even a Novice to just push the button until you select the type of Battery or program you wanted.

Do you and Ceejay have a 'Horse in this Fight', because you sound like Foxsur Representatives/Salemen in Nigeria? grin grin
All the million reasons (Oooh, it is the settings, it is the cheaper one, it is the battery, it is an imitation of Foxsur, etc) reminds me of a Snake-oil salesman . (Na joke, l dey joke o grin grin )

But thank you for your response all the same, unlike Ceejay, you did not directly betray your interest in the Product.

What informs your belief? Sounds wild to me, if you say "we" since you cant speak for everybody.

That Charger is a good Charger, as long as one can get the Original, that l can confirm.
