Hello. Good afternoon everybody, I woke up to see that my Redmi 8A just stopped bringing out network connection. It shows that sim card is there(it reads MtN and Airtel) but no network at all. I've done all hard reset, airplane mode on and off yet it brings no network. Can't use data, can't use call services.
I'm presenting in Benin, where do you suggest I take it to if it comes to that cos my guys are suggesting it antenna problem.
Kindly give me insight.
Please someone help me out cc genius43 jboixxx

Sense 6 doesn't support 18w charging at all as against Sense 6+. So, no ish. 18w charging is just about the speed of charging. Enjoy it.

Alright bro

Check your network type

Download ForceLTE and try forcing your network to 3G or 4G.

Normally your preferred network type should be as shown below start from there.
Thanks, how about the upgrade sir?

Take it to a good repairer to check the Antennas.

Download with a download manager like ADM Pro after Downloading follow the instructions below.

How to manually update..

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11/12 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 11/12 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process

Thank you. Do you have idea of price so I don't get cheated.
Again, is it possible it's software problem? I'm just seeing a zip file of about 650MB of something Miui and I don't know how it came about cos I've never succeeded in downloading the updates since I bought the phone. The update are usually about 2Gig so seeing 650MB somewhere might mean it was downloading and stopped halfway without my knowledge??

I don't have an idea but it shouldn't be more than 1k tops 1k5.
I can't for sure say that your problem is a software problem since you have been on this same software for long and you said factory reset didn't solve it. So explore the hardware angle. Might be that the antenna pins moved.
As for the update file might be an incompleted downloads.

If you an unable to do an OTA, the portion of doing it manually has always been there for you to explore.

Android 11 limitations bro. But you can move those files into the Android folder with a PC with your device connected.
