they need phone IMEI numbers now.

With the level of cluelessness, even if they sample our poo everyday, no crime will still be solved.

So Army with all their artillery and intelligence,
can't silence Shekau.

A high ranking authority somewhere is determined not to do the right thing.

BVN is looking like a total waste of time. So many fraudulent deals still thriving despite the introduction of BVN.

Everything done in this country is useless.
Biometrics is done for
1. BVN
2.International passport
3.SIM registration
4.NIN
5. Drivers license
6. Voters card
But one crime has never been solved using these info in the database.

I spit on this country.

Do we even have a central sata base? this country is a joke. Even the money they recovered nobody knows where they go in.

Nigerian Police will expose, disgrace, film and batter a petty thief for stealing something as cheap as N50,000 phone but this same government will tell the citizens it recovered $3 million from a thief in the Civil Service without even naming the thief.

Then some irredeemable gullible will clap for them.

This is the way Nigeria Government fights corruption.

The fact they didn't mention his name.

He is a Northerner.

Don't bother.

The person fighting corruption is thesame person who ensures that every revenue generating agency is under his kits and kin.

The ones pursuing Yahoo boys up and down have now located where the Nigerian money is going. The main area of concentration.

I believe the greatest fight against corruption is to break NNPC into six geo-political zonal companies

It is high time even the banks that receive such money be also prosecuted. There are many of them here in Abuja who has more than a billion naira in their account or even upto 10 billion naira worth of properties. Nigeria is just a jungle

Our leaders lack experience in life and biz.

Real biz oh.

You hit the nail on the head.
Most are "government pikin".
People that started life and ended it in civil service, pension now follows. They know no way to survive outside government. Salaries and stealing of money, estacodes, allowances, up to their pants had been taken care of by government work.
Such folks never ran a business to know how to turn ₦1 to ₦2. All they know is to chop and when chopping is not available they take loans, as they say "no be their papa business".
That is why sometimes you see some policies and wonder if the instigator is normal.
Hence the state of naija.

Sir, if we can go by the available records in the public domain, then the problem is partially with citizens. Take for example this SIM/NIN policy

1. Government make policy that all SIM must be linked to NIN for records and national security(I don't think there exist any organized and advanced country where government does not have such records about their citizens) .

2. All Telcos combined active numbers are pegs at over 100 millions.

3. The last time, I read, the SIM/NIN linked records is around 50 million.

4. So basically, more than 50 million active lines are without verifiable and traceable records, yet such lines are still making calls and sending text. (I heard of one Social media influencer, who had public said that she will never link both SIM/NIN together).

5. In some quarters, protests had been organized to make sure government does not enforce the policy.

6. Yet, we all complain of insecurities in the country.

Coming back to this BVN, some people particularly civil servant abandoned and ghosted such accounts rather than linked their BVN to it. Hoping that in future, when new government with less "brutal" approach to fraud and corruption comes on board, they will go back to claim such loot.

All these kangaroo laws are only for and to control and intimidate ordinary nigerians. They are not for the real thieves who are nigerian leaders and politicians.
