Hi guys, please can someone help advise on this issue. I may be eligible for EE FSW application as I currently have about 481 points. I already submitted my Study Permit Application and although I know dual intent is not a crime I have some concerns.

I am contemplating entering the pool now since I stated in my SOP that I intend to come back after my study permit. And would not want it to reduce my chances of getting a study permit as the VO handling my case may use it against me that he is not satisfied I would leave Canada after my studies.

In this scenario, what do you guys advise I do. Should I enter the pool now, in case a round of ITA comes up for FSW, or should I wait and get my study permit first before entering the pool.
Would really appreciate a response on this.

The devil is a liar.
I think you can go o, and ask IRCC for an extension on your stay period later when the new acceptance letter has been issued to you by your school.... Please Gurus in the house should help with this

You will have to defer to that February, unless you want to change school and start the whole application process for a new school all over again. You will travel in January with your old and new LOA, while in Canada you apply for study permit extension.

any idea how I can get it?

Hello Aladeope,

For the dom card, approach your bank. While the flutterwave card can be virtually created by downloading the app.

In a situation whereby the only option left is to defer to Feb 23, can I still travel by August and explain at the port of entry that I already booked my ticket before being notified that the program is full and I had to defer? Then I also prove with the funds I will be taking with me that I don’t intend to work before the resumption day. Please remember that going August is going about 6 months prior to resumption day. Gurus in the house, please reply!

Thank you but the program at SAIT is an applied bachelor degree program. Although i have a way through with defending in my SOP am worried about this PGD or PGC issue for an adult student.

I won't want to discourage you, especially when you have a strong conviction that you can pull it through and defend your reason for choosing another bachelor's degree, but ideally and sincerely going for a post graduate degree is your best fit

Gurus in the huz
Pls respond as I am in a similar situation as this.

Good day.
Please My sponsor is a very close family friend who owns a ministry and wants to sponsor me in the name of the Church. He has been sponsoring my education since my high school, he's a permanent resident in the USA but also a Nigerian citizen. He will be providing a sponsorship letter and the bank statement of the church. Is there any document that you feel should be provided to support my proof of funds requirements?

Hello Johanneiyoha,

Are there any evidence for the previous sponsorship and were the sponsorship under the umbrella of the Church?

If the Church is sponsoring you, then the one year tuition and living expenses should be made available to you. The best way to go is to sponsor you as an individual rather than as an organization.

Since the said person has played the role of a guardian for a long while, and with justifiable evidence, it will be more ideal to pass the person as a guardian than a family friend.

Best of Luck

Hi, Kayy sent your an email. please check

Kayyyy:
Landing gist!!
From Abuja to Toronto using Ethiopian airline;
My flight was on the 17th of May by 1:35pm but I got to the airport by 9:15 to check in and prepare myself for excess luggage (which at the end, I didn’t get)

At the Abuja airport; they asked for;
Passport, with stamped study visa
Enrollment letter
COVID test
Hotel quarantine plans
Flight ticket.

Little advice; you could wrap your luggage at the airport cause of change of aircraft to about tear or manhandling of your luggage. I think it’s 500 naira per baggage.
To be honest, the food served on Ethiopian airline wasn’t bad for me, we were served basmati rice with either beef, chicken or curry sauce.

At Addis Abba I was only asked for my passport and boarding pass. Lay over was 2 hours.
We stopped at Dublin for refuel but we didn’t get down from the plane. We were there for like an hour and 30 mins or so.

On our way to Canada, we were given 3 different forms to fill, which they asked for at the Canadian immigration center at the Pearson airport.

At the Toronto airport, asked for my passport and for me to drop my face mask so they could see my face, and give the reason for my trip. Then moved to a different side, where I was asked for enrollment letter, the forms I filled on the plane, COVID test result, ArriveCAN, admission letter.

One of the forms was signed and stamped. Then I moved to immigration side where I was asked questions like why I am in Canada, name of school, course, previous education, school fees receipt, passport, filled forms, enrollment letter. After everything my passport was stamped and I was given the official study permit. And they explained things like I am legible to work for some hours per week, and when the study permit will expire and co.

Went down stairs, got my luggage, then signed up for health switch for COVID test. Took a covid test and was given a personal COVID test kit to be taken on Day 8 of quarantine. Then hotel buses came to pick us from the airport depending on our individual hotels. Like 6 in the bus. I booked Crowne plaza, I paid $950 (USD) cash at the hotel. Will be leaving the hotel tomorrow morning ( done with quarantine).

So that’s it.

Hi TennieYF,

If truly you have that high CRS score I see no reason for you to have considered study route application to Canada for many reasons.
1. For that high score it is highly unikely for you not to get an ITA when a new draw is announced, if you are in the pool.
2. It is cheaper to school in Canada as a PR candidate than as a foreign student, infact it is like 3x more expensive as a foreign student, so shouldn't you take that discount benefit, if truly you have that high score.

I would suggest you enter the pool so that you do not miss the next draw. You can as well wait for gurus to offer their premium opinion on this.

Please house i need our advice i have two admissions from canada for second degree for brandon university(environmental science) and now SAIT ( Applied Geographic Information Science) my background is Geology and i have 7years experience as a chemical operator. My reasons for those courses was to follow my background course. I am 34 years now and I will be paying with my money and support from my brother. Please i need help in making a decision should i go ahead and apply for student permit, what is my best chance. This is urgent family.

Hello Awoscop,

Both suit your work experience, but it boils down to your job duties/responsibilities and knowledge in the respective field/program/course.

It will be better to use the above-mentioned to assess your study preference and also, which most justifies your career advancement, self-development, and relates to your future plans.

As a Chemical Operator, Environmental Science suits your experience adequately. But it boils down to what you intend to achieve. Brandon is a good institution too and the program there is a Master.

If you don't know how to go about writing your letter (SOP/LOE), reach out to GCMSWriters on IG and/or Twitter.

Best of Luck

This is a dangerous thing. Please someone should respond to this. Why would they refund just half of your money? Have you read their refund policy?

Two things, check their refund policy because some schools would state that they won't fully refund. Then secondly check if the school is genuine because there are many fraudulent schools out there. If possible let someone in Canada confirm that this school exist and its not another Trump University.

Hello TennieYF,

Please, jump into the pool so as to stamp your entering date close to the tie-breaking rule.

When packaging your SP application, package or treat it as a separate application. Work at meeting the eligibility requirement of SP and show justifiable home ties whether or not the PR application has been submitted.

Yes, you can. This is to enable the third-party website to forward the notes upon receiving it from IRCC. For the third-party website to request your notes, the application number is what they required and of course, a duly signed consent form.

I think it’s the same. No one is cheaper! They’re both FX transfers, the only difference is that your bank is initiating the Form A on your behalf while on your dorm account, you are the operator.

Telex charge, transfer charge and VAT applies on both transactions at the same rate.

You’re wrong on this, the difference would be way over 500k if you factor parallel market rates which is how domiciliary accounts are funded

Hello Lekiboboe,

Despite the Federal government's law and policy regarding the mandatory 3-night hotel stay and remaining 11 days quarantine in a choice location, the Provincial/Territorial/Regional authorities also have their policy and law that MAY also require any foreign national coming into their province to still quarantine despite already observing one before as instructed by the Federal government.

More information on the quarantine law and policy in Saskatoon should be requested from the host. It will be proper if after the mandatory 3-night hotel stay and the remaining 11-days be done in Saskatoon.

Thereafter, the said person can fly to Ontario which is the final destination. If the DLI has no orientation arrangement in place for students, July is somewhat early given the recent struggles resulting from COVID-19, especially in Ontario. Early August should be suitable if the person's DLI resumes in early September.

Cheers bro.
Thanks for your response JustMellow , she has annulled her trip to Saskatchewan from Ontario owing to the flight ticket financial implication To & Fro.

The bolded would be considered
