Vinicius, i am beginning to be tired of him. I believe this is his third season with us but dude can't compose himself infront of goal.

Three seasons in top flight football but no improvement..smh.

Perez and his love for Brazilian kids.

Miguel, Arribas and Blanco should be promoted to the first team. They can serve as a good backup .
All this started after he lost out on neymar to Barcelona as he was very sure of bringing him to Madrid, since then he has made sure to get some of the young highly rated talent from Brazil before more clubs snap them up especially Barca so as to prevent another neymar situation, Do you know viniciuos, Rodrygo and Reiner were tracked by Barcelona Infact viniciuos was on his way to Barcelona before Perez came in with a higher bid, managed to sweet-talk his agent and father and boom you guys got him for I think 50-55m , rodrygo too was in advanced negotiations to join but almost the same thing happened Perez offered more to Santos and offered him a larger salary compared to Barca who said they won't offer more than what they brought. Reiner was snapped up earlier before anything even sprung up and he also wanted to invest in youth more instead of sanctioning galactico signings every season

Me don't want another 100mil+ failure again, this our fanbase is mostly filled with lunatics and kids that won't let you breath once a player is passing through a bad patch or not living up to expectations, rather than support that player, they rather roast him
All fanbases are like that.

Wetin Leicester fans no tok about Senior Man?
Even the Suarez cules are trying to pin as a Koeman or Bart failure, na dem loud mouth pass say e don expire.
If Lewa hit poor form next season, na Munich fans go lead the charge to discharge am.
Ronaldo don score 29 goals for Juve, na still Juve fans dey tok say dem no want Social Media club.

Football fans are irrational. Na because dem no dey write exam to join club. Every dick and harry go just open mouth wa.

===

Our attacking issues are Perez's fault. On this thread FOUR seasons ago, we discussed buying Lewa or Kane. When the GOAT was still present. Did Perez oblige? No.

We've known Zidane does not want Bale. Yet Perez kept him on the roster to eat space and wages. End of the day, after choking on a humble pie served by Zidane, he had to send Bale away on loan at the same time our attack was weak.

That's exactly how he sold key players in our formidable Real Madrid B after the historic double, when we were trying to win a treble. If it wasn't for black magic and individual heroics, we would have ended the next season (Ronaldo's last) trophyless. Zidane bailed for that reason.

If Zidane hadn't returned, we would have had (and definitely deserved) a RO16 UCL exit this year. And no trophy last year.

Believe me, if Zidane stays, that senile id*ot will tell him our squad is good enough because we "only" lost the league by 2 points and got to the UCL SF. After all that's what the lunatic told Lope. We have FIFA XI players who won B2B2B.

Even if we buy Mbappe or Sancho or Haaland, what happens if any of them that comes has a bad game? We've gone from a team full of game-changers to a team full of prospects. Besides, Allegri is another Zidane 2.0. He'd overperform with a diminished squad and allow Perez to continue his disastrous stewardship.

One player will not change this team's trajectory. Nothing about our transfer policy resembles squad building. That is why we currently have Vini, Rodrygo, Asensio, Mariano, Vazquez, Isco, and Hazard on the same team sheet; with Benzema as the only conventional out-and-out forward. Then we wonder why Casemiro is our second highest goal scorer. We were yapping about Benzema's and Bale's goal contributions when CR7 was here. And they were actual 20 league goal players. Now, beside Benzema, who on our roster is a 20-league-goal player?

For me, RM is a life-long passion. We've rarely been blessed with a visionary front office. So "almost" seasons like this one are bound to be a recurrent thing. It just sucks that since 2014, we actually had the personnel and resources to really dominate, but were unable to because we have a double agent at the helm who hates the words CONTINUITY and LONG-TERM PLANNING.

This summer he'd unveil Allegri (if Zidane leaves), promise Mbappe, shuffle some players. Then when we have another "almost" season, he'd sack the coach, buy Mbappe, promise the next emerging talent, shuffle another round of players, rinse and repeat. We'd keep doing that until he stumbles on another Ancelotti or Zidane who'd give us a moment of respite with a hard-fought trophy. Guess what, when that happens, the buff**n will blow it all up that summer and make sure we start from scratch again. That's Perez in a nutshell until he is bundled out.

But trust his goons and the fanbase to select scapegoats that'd be used to deflect from the dumpster-fire he keeps serving. Because in what world is Mariano or Hazard a replacement for Ronaldo; in a team that still needed at least one other prolific goal scorer while Ronaldo was still here. We already had a hole in the ship and the genius went ahead to bore another hole, then used cotton wool to plug the hole he created.

Yea sure all fanbases are like that but why do you think people reference this fanbase in particular when it comes to bashing players?

anyway read all you wrote up there but i no just understand your hate for Papa Flo ... Pls what do you want in particular from him? is it Kane/Lewa is the cause for this unnecessary hatred ??

No single constructive criticism here. Just the usual diatribe. Maybe that's your kinda person.

But What I can't really understand is why you sit here on Nairaland and think you know more than a man who gave us the 'GALATICOS ERA' he left and came back to give us the greatest team UCL has ever seen.
He even masterminded a Super League and the entire UEFA and FIFA came sweating under his table.
And now he's giving us the most modern stadium the world has ever seen. Even with this paucity of funds caused caused by COVID-19

The legend of 'Papa P' is already etched in gold thru out the world as a savvy business man and a football Mastermind.

Bro you need to sit down and think about what you're thinking about.

So your bag of beans shouldn't set higher target of scoring 25+ league goals in a season like all ambitious strikers do? grin grin grin

Strikers are rated by their number of goals each season. Even Higuain scored 25+ goals for Madrid, and he didn't spend 10yrs before achieving that.

No wonder Benzema was never in Fifa world best 11 all these years. Lewandowski will still push him away from the stuff. grin

The question we Madridistas should ask ourselves if it's best to splash over 100mil+ on Mbappe now or wait till summer 2022 and get him for free

(exactly what we should have done on Hazard's case) .. the taste of him flopping for free for us wouldn't be that bad

We don't sign Mbappe now and the young Lad and his representatives will say Madrid ain't serious enough and he should sign a new contract with PSG ..(Now would that be a huge blow for us?)

Flo annoys me because he is a compulsive gambler. He does not run the sporting side of the club with a plan. He treats each season in isolation.

The ideal way to run a club for sustained success is to keep your quality pieces and have replacements on standby. That's the basics.

After we won the league in 2012. We didn't reinforce. We didn't win anything in 2013. Then he blitzed in the summer. Ancelloti wins in 2014. And we had our last "good" summer under Perez. Kroos and Navas were the key pieces with James to replace Di Maria.

Since then, we've been complaining. Would it kill him to have good mercatos every summer. Not one where we buy or sell for the sake of it, but one where you can actually tell what changes he's making to the squad, why, and what comes next.

We need prolific goal scorers and we currently have just one. We need to replace or have backups for our core midfield of three that's on its last legs; and we have just Valverde. Since Perez took charge in his second stint, we've had a sh*t #2 GK. Not bad when your #1 is phenomenal; but it means any match he doesn't play is a toss-up. That's why we have 1 CdR win and have gone trophyless an awful lot.

Then when Zidane overperforms, we act like this team is only one elite player away from world domination.

Barcelona has been sh*t for 6 years and we compete with them like they're the 2002 Brazilian national team. Bayern sent Pep packing and have stayed competitive. You see their squad building, and yes I know they have a lot more flexibility than any other club in world football, but at least you can see exactly how the pieces fit.

Even when we were winning with Zidane. We weren't doing so convincingly. Most important matches were nail biters. Not like peak Barcelona or Bayern. The tie where we actually played like world beaters was the two-legged Super Cup tie against Barcelona in Zidane's last season. Compare that squad and our current squad, has it gotten better or have we filled it with fluff? Who is responsible for that and why does he get a pass?

I firmly believe we have won most of our trophies of the Perez' era in spite of him and not because of him. I wouldn't say he played no role whatsoever, but he's done as much bad as he's done good; and I'm sick of the rollercoaster where I don't know what I'm getting from season to season.

No one on this forum can confidently say we'd have a good summer transfer window this year; after a trophyless season. So why do we have a President? We might as well just let the Socios run the club as a quorum. Seriously, if we were in England, our trophy drought will be epic. But every disappointing season, we always have a scapegoat; and it's never the architect.
