In a bid to honour the departed military officers including the late Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared a work-free day for members of the Armed Forces on Monday 24 May, 2021.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, sent to POLITICS NIGERIA on Sunday night.

He also said the national flag should fly at Half Mast in honour of the late COAS and others that died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday, May 21st.

"His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria has authorized that the National Flag should be flown at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities and official residences with effect from Monday 24 to Wednesday 26 May, 2021"

"This approval is to honour the memory and services of the Late Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Ibrahim Attahinu, ten senior military and service members who lost their lives in the plane crash on Friday 21 May, 2021," the statement read.

Nice,.....But essential workers nor dey go on holidays na.... anyway....what do I know..am just a drunkard, weed smoker, a pussy banger and a bomber or rather say key board warrior.....
May thier soul rest in peace...no matter what the dead should be treated with a little bit of nervousness and respect......nice one from the president
This life ehnnnn...very funny
For every day we wake we are faced with more than a hundred ways to die
You enter train na derail
You enter ship or boat na capsize
YOU ENTER PLANE NA PLANE CRASH
You sit down for your house building fit collapse
You take a walk car fit knock you down
You sit down for beer parlor stray bullet fit come from police
to enter motor probably to travel na motor accident

All these are just to justify the outrage over manner these fine officers were treated in death.

Well, better latter than never. Honour is honour.

Ridiculous!

The most unproductive nation in the world. Any Governor or the President can wake up and dash holidays like candies.

So our territories won't be guided tomorrow like this. So external aggression can happen tomorrow like this with resistance. Our security tomorrow is left to God. They can as well go on holiday for the whole year oo. We have always been on God
