Keep sleeping, they are in full support.
In fact they have disconnected themselves from the northern Muslim. We no longer see that fool from sokoto as the leader of all Muslim in Nigeria. We stand alone now. As you can see, during the last fasting we ending it by ourselves. We don't need that idiot Fulani in sokoto to lead us. Enough is enough
Regardless of religion, we are yorubas and nothing we change that.

God bless yoruba nation

Chief Imam of Yoruba land eat and dine with Sunday Igboho everyday. The Imam said he is battle ready if those people choose violence.

This is about yoruba..not about religion

Why are you posting in Latin and who are you trying to impress? Keep that nonsense to your fellow educated illiterates and communicate effectively when talking to me.

I only mentioned Afonja because he's the most popular one, however, what he did isn't alien to Yoruba. There were people who did the same thing before and after Afonja.

Also, the only reason posterity isn't fair on Afonja is because of what happened subsequently in Ilorin and what it's today. What Afonja did isn't different from what Lisabi did. So why's Afonja a Judas while Lisabi is regarded as a hero?

Your belligerence is nothing but empty. I made it clear that the race now known as Yorubas, right from the days of Odi-duawa (whom you call Oduduwa) are known for a philosophy of honour.

If you ever did s course on history or African thought, you will know that the philosophy of a people is never utopian (as you suppose). It is lucidly ingrained in our language and way of life.

A king is known as Kabiesi (Ka bi o osi) to infer that he cannot be questioned or summoned by just anyone. Respect for the elderly (sages) is ingrained in our use of language. No well-taught Yoruba child looks an elderly in the face.

It is totally fallacious to paint Yoruba by errors from Afonja and co. It's stupid to do that.

Yorubas aren't a monolith. This fallacy/utopia some of you have about Yoruba tradition/culture needs to stop.

It can't stop!

Yorubas are known and distinct by crrtain ethics passed from generation to generation orally. It's called eko Ile (home training). It's utter ignorance to think otherwise.

Yoruba history is replete with philosophical excursions accross different ages. These philosophical tilts is what made up (and makes up) the aboriginal Yorubas.

This is the background behind many traditions and customs.

I guess it must have been an unethical breach when these kings were exiled by Yoruba people of yesteryear, no? And how many of them have been dethroned since Nigeria was created?

Some of you just create this lousy concept of Yoruba culture in your heads (a concept you don't even practise) and start spouting nonsense while using the utopia to argue against something you don't agree with.

A little bit of research and personal study could have saved you this embarrassment. No one creates a tradition in their heads. Modern humans are, on the contrary, influenced by ancient cultures and traditions.

We didn't create the culture of prostrating to greet kings, chiefs, elders, parents, for instance. It's a tradition that has been passed from ages. No one can explain it away! It is what it is.

It's very unsound for anyone to think an ancient tribe like Yoruba will be without specific and pellucid traditions. What then makes up a tribe in the first place?

You're the illiterate one due to your ignorance.

So Muslim politicians are now part of Adeboye's church, no? And how many of the paupers in his church does he hobnob the same he's hobnobbing these Muslim politicians? [quote]

Ask questions when you're not clear. That will save you from incoherent "counters" like this.

The Muslim politician is s governor of a state where pastor Adeboye has people. Besides, the Muslim politician hasn't said he isn't interested in receiving Jesus.

Any sound thinking and well-meaning adult should not read a nagative meaning to a meeting of a pastor with a Muslim politician. At least, not when you aren't sure of what was discussed.

[quote]
You're a very deceitful guy and it's one of the reasons why I don't really interact with religious people.

I know Adeboye is your lord/savior and the occult yahoo pastor is infallible to you. But unlike you, in as much as I admire what Igboho is doing, he's not my leader. Prof. Banji Akintoye is my leader.

Lastly, none of you cowards can stop this movement. You would either become collateral damage or get deported to Sokoto to your Fulani overlords.

Ad hominem.

You may not like him. Pastor Adeboye is a pastor with tens of millions (if not hundreds of millions) of devoted followers. He doesn't need to win your trust or "likeness." He doesn't even know you exist.

A "movement" championed by an illiterate. grin gudluck

You just said a lot with actually saying anything and using thesaurus for fancy words doesn’t negate the vacuousness of your illogical argument.

You claimed Yoruba Obas don’t get disrespected and it’s unethical in Yoruba culture. And I gave you 2 examples of Yoruba warriors (Igboho is also a warrior) who disrespected Yoruba Obas (Afonja and Lisabi). I also mentioned how Yoruba people have historically exiled Yoruba Obas.

Etymology of names in Yoruba culture, which usually forms the basis of oriki, isn’t what Yoruba culture is about in practicality. Yorubas have always practiced a democratic system whereby everyone in the community has privileges and Obas aren’t infallible. When an Oba oversteps his/her boundaries, he/she can be called out and questioned. The Oba that was questioned by Igboho overstepped his boundaries and he was told to stop working against Yoruba interest. We’re a democratic people and no one is infallible, not even a king.

Using etymology as the basis of your argument shows you’re living in a utopia and you don’t understand Yoruba culture.

Also this isn’t about Yoruba customs when it comes to daily interactions. Don’t twist the topic. This is about what Igboho said about certain Obas and leaders. Stick to that. In Yoruba culture, everyone has a right to question their leaders.

Left to you and your warped utopia, all those protests that happened in ancient Yorubaland against Yoruba Obas never happened because of the etymology of ka-bi-o-ko-si. Agbekoyas never happened! The regular protests led by Iyalodes never happened! Etc.

No, Adeboye is an occult yahoo pastor who has been able to brainwash millions of black monkeys. Why would I care about him? What can he offer me?

Igboho the illiterate was brave enough to confront Fulanis in the forest while you were hiding under your bed, reading thesaurus. Watch us work. The weakling and cowardly, which you belong to always go where the strong and brave go. And you shall either follow us into Oduduwa Republic or get deported to Sokoto with your thesaurus. You have no other option. So stop talking.

Why do people act like Yoruba never practiced democracy before Nigeria? I still can believe some joker thinks “kabiyesi” which is an oriki means a king can’t be questioned. We’re NOT feudal people that practice demagoguery! Obas are questioned in Yorubaland! Your feudal nonsense is due to your Fulani indoctrination!

We’re the same people that had Oyo Mesi, Ogboni and Osugbo (Ijebu). Obas are questioned in Yorubaland and have always been!

Yes, kings don't get disrespected. Yoruba has never been acephalous or democratic. That's a lie.

The Yoruba had a unique monarchy with checks and balance from the king makers, generals, chiefs. Afonja was not just a warrior. He was a general. The coup that got rid of king of Ilorin was a vicious one, albeit constitutional. Afonja was functioning within his rights.

Igboho is a warrior? grin Where? Are you cracking a joke? You aren't making sense. You are trying to create a narrative where there is none.

Etymology of names in Yoruba culture, which usually forms the basis of oriki, isn’t what Yoruba culture is about in practicality. Yorubas have always practiced a democratic system whereby everyone in the community has privileges and Obas aren’t infallible. Those kings overstepped their boundaries because they didn't join or contribute to your quixotic Oduduwa nation? Is that the boundary they overstepped?

Your Messiah was simply rude to these kings. He later came begging for them to forgive him, admitting he did something wrong. The learned king of Ife simply ignored him. That's how to deal with thugs.

Using etymology as the basis of your argument shows you’re living in a utopia and you don’t understand Yoruba culture.

If you ever did a research, you'll understand that etymology is critical to understanding history. Etymology shows us original intentions, meanings, and practices. No critical study waters down etymological meanings.

Also this isn’t about Yoruba customs when it comes to daily interactions. Don’t twist the topic. This is about what Igboho said about certain Obas and leaders. Stick to that. In Yoruba culture, everyone has a right to question their leaders.

Well, given contemporary realities, anyone can air their views. But your Messiah's approach was clear-cut rude and insane. The rhetoric wasn't even organized. Imagine speaking of the king of Ife saying things like "I am older than you (without the use of the required honourable pronoun)." He made silly and incendiary allegations on air. Very silly and illiterate thing to do.

It's not hard to agree. The dude is perhaps after a worthy cause. But he is not a leader. He is not enlightened enough to handle a serious project as that.

Left to you and your warped utopia, all those protests that happened in ancient Yorubaland against Yoruba Obas never happened because of the etymology of ka-bi-o-ko-si. Agbekoyas never happened! The regular protests led by Iyalodes never happened! Etc.

Protests, riots, coups are normal realities in every political setting. Your use of utopia is rather redundant. I didn't speak of a perfect Yoruba past. But a Yoruba past that was built on certain incontrovertible values.

No, Adeboye is an occult yahoo pastor who has been able to brainwash millions of black monkeys. Why would I care about him? What can he offer me?

Why make such allegation? Why call black human beings like you monkies? How noble is that?

That's what your Messiah too would do though. So, I guess such belligerence and combativeness is an oduduwan ideology. Na guess o.

An illiterate is an illiterate. You can't water that down. A realistic Oduduwa Republic is one that would be achieved by enlightened, sane, and sound folks, not by people who are detached from contemporary strides.

Like I said, goodluck.
Re: Sunday Igboho: Akure Yoruba Nation Rally (Videos) by Nobody: 6:57pm On May 23, 2021
Dammy Obahiagbon

I see you’re back with your illogical ramblings after an hour of using thesaurus. You’re out of your depth. And you’re neither educated, intelligent and/nor knowledgeable enough for this topic.

A. Yorubas have always lived in a semblance of a constitutional monarchy system which is democratic. Oyo had Oyo Mesi and Ogboni councils that were like parliamentarians with Oyo Mesi as the higher council. Egbas and all the other Yoruba groups had Ogboni council. And Ijebu had Osugbo council.

B. You claim kings don’t get disrespected in Yorubaland and their authority is divine hence you kept repeating “ka bi o ko si”. But now, you’re claiming Afonja was within his rights. Make up your mind, you sound confused.

C. Igboho is a warrior. Since you love thesaurus, you can use it to find a simpler synonym for “warrior”. Or use a dictionary. A warrior who confronted Fulani marauders while you and your cowardly ilk were praying to Adeboye for hope. He singlehandedly put an end to the Fulani menace. Hate him or love him, Igboho is Lisabi Agbongbo Akala.

D. He only retracted what he said because some people exalt these people like demagogues and it would be unwise not to carry everyone along. However, he didn’t need to apologize and was within his rights as a Yoruba man to question their allegiance. Not that we need everyone but division is unnecessary.

E. Yes, etymology is important in understanding history. It’s like a dot you have to connect, however, it doesn’t tell you about the customs of the land and how the people lived. Etymology of names is mostly for oriki and not tradition/culture.

Leaders have always been questioned in Yorubaland and we don’t do feudalism or demagoguery. Every living Yoruba man/woman has a right to question anyone. Only orisas can’t be questioned!

F. You have to be a monkey in 2021 to keep funding the lifestyle of these pulpit yahoo pastors and their business empire. Even the missionaries who brought the religion as a tool for subjugation weren’t as heartless as these scumbags. Missionaries at least built free schools and clinics. These cretins are using the monies taken from black monkeys to buy private jets while still robbing them with private schools and universities.

G. Who told you Igboho is the one leading the struggle? Then again, apart from thesaurus, you’re not enlightened enough to know what due diligence is. If you did your due diligence, you’d know that some of the best intellectual minds Yorubas have are leading the agitation behind the scene. Or was Igboho the one who registered Oduduwa Republic with UNPO?

We honestly don’t care about what you think and you have no other choice but to go wherever we go. Else, you would get sent to Sokoto with your thesaurus.

The problem with a lot of them is that they’re used to being in servitude/slavery to their Fulani overlords and they’d rather keep praying for hope than seek freedom which comes with an unknown. They know Nigeria is the worst you can ever ask for but they’re too cowardly to try the unknown.

This also happened during slavery. Slavery would’ve ended long before it did. But most slaves were comfortable in being slaves than trying the unknown. And even when some slaves make plans to escape, most would reject and report the plans to the slave masters.

It’s mostly a black thing. Black people generally lack fighting spirit once they feel they have been subdued by a powerful force. This trait is what separates black people from other races. Other races are too aggressive for servitude hence all the revolutionary movements that have happened in history happened everywhere else except on the African continent.

Imagine calling a man who’s risking everything to fight a worthy cause and save his people from servitude an illiterate. But be comfortable in a country ruled by an illiterate walking corpse that has given all the sensitive posts in government to his illiterate Fulani brothers and sisters. And it’s so bad that even cows are now more valuable than humans.

Let’s even scratch everything I posted above. How can an ethnic group of just 6million uncivilized people who are foreigners be lording over a country of over 200million people and threatening everyone? If this doesn’t make these cretins sick to their stomachs, I don’t know what would.

Thank you, my bro.

They’re mostly your typical empty educated illiterates that like feeling pompous for no reason. They’re too cowardly to take charge but think their useless certificates that are yet to better their lives make them superior to someone who’s actually doing something.

How can you claim to be educated and not be observant enough that Nigeria is a pit latrine that will never work? You don’t even need that much brain matter or traveling outside Nigeria to notice that; a look around the country and using internet to see what’s in other country is enough. Igboho is actually more enlightened and exposed than these idiots.

Most times whenever I watch those rallies, I watch them with a heavy heart due to how the whole country looks like a pigsty and the poverty on the faces of the people. That alone is enough to want to turn Nigeria into a rubble and kill all the leaders. Enough is enough and we need to harness both our human and mineral resources as Yorubas, to better the lives of our people.

Intellectuals can’t do this alone, it wouldn’t be effective and there will be too much bureaucracy. We also need people like Igboho at the forefront to enable the carrot and stick approach. And any miscalculation by the Nigerian government and we’ll show our hands and teach them a lesson.

If at all we’re going to get independence, it’s now that we have high ranking Yoruba sons and daughters in both US and UK governments. That’s 2 easy votes at the UN Security Council with high level lobbying.

Forget these educated illiterates. They’re too cowardly to even change the cycle of poverty they’re in and too poor to add anything to the agitation. They’re starving poor souls looking for something to eat.

Well said boss, that's why I'm following you! I give Kudos to Igboho, I'm his number one fan, he's the Moses of our time. I will send you a PM pls, kindly reply.

Oga can you just stop being stupid it was never 179 yoruba soldiers. The Nigerian army that routed the Biafrans from Ore was commanded by Muritala

I was under a ban, else I should have cured your stupidity immediately. Muritala didn't win anything in the war, in fact he was a very pathetic soldier. He led the 2 Division which was almost wiped out in the Abagana massacre. He wasn't allowed to lead anything till the end of the war.

You don't know your history and your are here arguing foolishly. Your cowardly fathers were 5,000 in number and they were roundly defeated by 179 Yoruba soldiers.

It just shows how unfortunate your parents and lineage were for birthing you into this world. Not surprised though. It is expected from trolls like you
