Maybe I was misquoted sir ... I never tag anyone poorer for using Mobil xhp... I did say if u can afford a car that cost millions you should be able to afford good quality oil .........

Also I do strongly encourage tokunbo car owners to use quality oil from the start.. This will help them to continue to maintain their cars.... Things are expensive now .......

I do apologize for any misconception I might have created along the way ..........

I am one of the people that speak against use of 20w50 when u r supposed to use 5w30 or as d case may be...reason is simple - it is not the recommended oil for your car. Nothing more nothing less...its not about brand or quality or price. Its just not the spec.
Also be wary of cheap synthetic blends in d market most of them are just label, only God and them know what they mix, package and sell.

Yes, u may not see any problem in d immediate term, when u use 20w50 but in d long run it definitely shows up in different ways; Loud engine sound, resistance in movement, sludge and cake deposits, Faulty oil pumps, bad oil seals, damaged timing chains, worn out valves, piston, rings, ultimately dead engine.

Beyond respecting peoples choice, one cannot help but educate, then u can choose what u like after knowing the pros and cons. If u want to optimise cost, don't be penny wise and pound foolish...look for a cheaper option within d same specification and maintain d life of your engine. The use of right oil can never be overemphasized and the difference is clear as crystal, especially in rugged and high mileage use like ehailing.

Wonder why people change engine after 2yrs of commercial use?
Wonder why engine performance and behavior drops after 3months of purchasing a tokunbo car? Its not our weather or roads or economy or witches/wizards its simply the quality of lubricant, all other things being equal. One of my car on ehailing has done over 300k miles, thats over 200k miles in Nigeria and sometimes u will not know d engine is on, Very quiet, Never opened d engine for 4yrs now.

Finally somebody understand my point ........

The supertech oil is really good from tests and reviews and most importantly it is very very cheap for it's quality...
My question is how much will the Supertech be when u send it to naija and when is it coming?... Also can u guarantee u will have it available, anytime and every time we need it?
I am interested.

Believe him at your own or your car peril.
After 2 yrs u will change to another oil.
Someone that is not recognized by super tech.
He buys it from road side stores, the day they run out of stock or increase the price, he will go and look for another alternative.
Give him 1 yr he will start telling stories.

I'm not judging your Business model, but just pointing out you attacking people and calling them names for their own business models as well. You just buttressed my point. You adjusted to super tech when price for mobil1 is now high. People that are using mobil xhp or whatever oil are also optimising their cost.

When people were/are crazy about about corolla, you went for less expensive civic to optimise, it has nothing to do with you being poorer than than going for corolla.

If anyone chooses to use Mobil xhp for his car, that's his choice, respect it and stop tagging it with poverty.

Bless.

Holistically, using a corolla for ehailing is more viable, profitable and wise than a civic.

I've used both cars with track records so I know what I'm saying.

The only thing is some persons are just clouded in their minds and believe, so you just respect their decision.

Those that take a Honda on HP i just... Well... I respect their decision as well.

I beg to differ, not so totally true maam... I've worked with this guy b4.

The human life in the 21st century is now in either 1, 2 or 3 phases, some are the same both physically, mentally, spiritually and socially while some exhibit different characters at the same time, different times and maybe some times physical, mentally, spiritually and socially.

So it's possible for one to be funny, humble, quiet and good with words socially but physicially the same person is the opposite.

My rating fell badly below 4.4 and i was blocked by BOLT for a day

what i had to do is to politely remind my riders to kindly rate me 5 star at the end of each trip, it worked like magic, my rating went up to 4.95 within a week, i am currently at a rating of 4.97

I guess most of the riders forget to rate drivers or they just don't care......lol

My rating has dropped to 4.60. I want to ask my friend to request me and rate me 5star to boost it. Now, can he request me more than once?

I generally like to read comments here to amuse myself.
I'll drop this here for people who can think.
For context, I started e-hailing with a corolla, moved to a Civic 04 (dru23) and now I use a Volvo S40.
In my opinion, the corolla is not worth the hype and the hassle. There's more to a car than fuel efficiency and I must say that the corolla is not exactly fantastic in this regard especially when you contrast it against the sacrifice of performance and comfort that you're making.
In April 2017 my corolla was bought for 2.2m and sold last year for 1.230, that's a hit of 950k. In those 3 years, I changed the hub and suspension assembly, AC components, then it had a brain box issue later NO engine/Transmission issues.
April Last year I got a used civic 04 for 450k, spent about 1m on it for the 1 year I had it. Oven bake, suspension assembly, AC, electrical ish and regular maintenance inclusive. I sold it last week for 530 without issues. So give or take a 1m hit.
Got my S40 for 1.7. CLEAN civic EX trim was priced at 1.9 (that's the least I saw) Corolla, lol, we know how far so no need.
While the S40 is not giving me the fuel efficiency of the civic or the corolla, performance and comfort is millions of miles ahead of the Japanese. My S40 is FULL OPTIONS, leather, power everything, parking sensors EVERYTHING and it moves like a dream. Add the humbling it gives riders when I pull up and they enter inside. Since I got it, no rider don talk rudely to me lol.
Now the numbers. While the S40 is not doing the fuel economy of the corolla, it is 800k less to buy today. For clarity, my corolla was doing 1ltr per 10km, S40 is doing 1.15 per 10km. So that's Ask yourself, how long will it take me to spend that extra 800k on petrol?
The parts of the S40 I HEAR are cheaper than the Corolla, I say I HEAR because I have not had to change anything yet. I know for sure that engine and transmission are much cheaper than the Corolla sha. So where exactly is the economy?
The 2nd hand value myth, I have debunked several times here. Mind you, the figures for the Corolla was only purchase price. In those three years about 700k was spent on maintenance. Add that to 2.2 then subtract the price it was sold for. I didn't talk much about the civic because its own parts are much much cheaper than the Corolla parts, imagine changing complete hub assembly (hub, brake discs, brake pads, ball joints) for 16k. Compressor was 15k. Parts were cheap And they lasted till I sold the car.

I primarily felt the need to post this because I adviced someone who had saved up 1.4 but was looking for a loan to add so he could get a toks corolla. I told him to take that money and buy a toks civic 04 or 05. He said na corolla or nothing, as he no see toks money, he bought a naija used and now he has his mechanic on speed dial.

There's nothing in this business like driving your own car. If you have saved up something go and get a used civic, BE SURE to do your due diligence before buying, but I will tell you categorically that your risk exposure is less with the civic. You will make the same amount of money but you'll spend less.

@Xghost.

Volvo has a superb performance sha. N the engine is quite cheap compared to other cars. Last year one of friend of a friend said he bought Volvo tokunbo engine for 140k. Im lyk Dat is unbelievable.

The only challenge is a lot of kazeem rewire n mechanics in Lagos r quacks, sadly they charge ridiculously. So when it comes to Volvo, you hardly find the right person to help one out.

Which year of corolla did u buy for 2.2m in 2017?

Secondly, u have to drive ur Volvo for minimum 1yr on ehailing before u can really compare it with the Corolla and Civic that u already have a first hand experience with.
Until then, it may be erroneous/misleading to paint a picture of the Volvo S40 being good enough or better than corolla/civic.

Still wondering why u sold an 04 civic without issues for 530k in this 2021. Full disclosure please. Or did u do give away?
