DEFENSE NEWS NIGERIA:

Nigeria's Space Defence Force will achieve full operational status sometime by years end. In a hybrid battlefield real-time intelligence can be as important as kinetics.

Since 2018 personnel from the army, navy and airforce as well as civilian technicians have been undergoing extensive training on the use of geospatial, sattelite image analysis, defence mapping etc. at a NASRDA facility.

The Agency is also set to launch two dedicated military satelites.

Another country with a Space Defence Force is the United States. Of course light years ahead in technical capability and funding.

Nigeria and the United States are the only two countries with a dedicated Space Defence Force.

...In recognition of this, the US Secretary of Space Force, Barbara Barrett paid a visit to the Defence Space Administration in January, where it was disclosed that the DSA will be equipped technologically through partnership with the US Space Force to enhance its capabilities.

Barbara Barrett described Nigeria as the destination of choice in Africa for partnership in harnessing space assets through the instrumentality of science and technology in national defence...#WeMeuve

No, so you may decide not to approve launching of the satellites since you have not been officially informed.

Until Joe Biden write a letter addressed to you personally informing you of the development.

Very funny pipu. cheesy

Can't tell, but They do have a space agency tho...
A senator did raise the issue of the recruitment methods in the agency few weeks ago. Folks that graduated in Agric science and Koranic education were being offloaded into Nigerias space Agency..

NARSDA image-maker, Felix Ale who spoke to The ICIR, said employing young Nigerians at the space centre irrespective of their educational discipline is not a problem if it addresses the issues of unemployment in the country.

He made this comment against the background of the comment made recently by Senator Ajayi Boroffice, the deputy Senate majority leader.

Boroface made a shocking revelation at its last annual national conference on space science and technology organised by the Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA on June 2020.

At the event held in Abuja, Senator Boroffice said the space agency had engaged in actions, he described as “misemployment” by employing graduates of religious studies and other unrelated courses as support staff constituting 80 per cent of its workforce.

“How can you be taking people with religious studies in the space centre? It is misemployment when the support staff constitute about 80 per cent of the workforce. It is wrong.

“I also learnt that the Independent and Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC is around, scrutinising employment documents, I heard employment at the space centre is earned for between N2 million to N2.5 million. It is sad,” he said.

Borroffice who was the pioneer Director-General of NASRDA said the agency needs scientists to make up 70 per cent of the workforce for efficiency.

Nope.

They will attach their payload to a NASA rocket like other advanced countries do until our own rocket program is fully ready.

Ok Sir!
But they will do nothing about the massive corruption and recruitment problems in their own Space Agency, since we all know that Koranic education graduates do not make good rocket scientists...

If there is input from Uncle Sam then its just another leash!!

The U.S are are the most cunning sons of b*tches the world has ever seen.... The input of western powers is just a back door for them to be meddling and interfering / keeping us in check.

They will have access to evrything on that satellite.... They will use it for their own espionage against us.
