I've seen cases in ibadan between two muslims were they didn't involve the police but it was settled by their iman, also happens with christains in the SW, so you really don't need to carry your case to the court in the north for settlement, take your case to your iman or pastor. But this doesn't stop the state from properly recognizing those religious bodies and conflict resolution courts......it actually puts less pressure on the state judiciary.

Although am a Muslim but I don't buy the ideal of turning the south west to a Sharia state or to introduce Sharia law.
