If you have 30 million NGN in assets or money, will you use it to send your child abroad? Even if it's just one child, it's not easy. But in crisis like this, you can rally round, take loans, sell properties.

We must hold the government responsible.

I'm frustrated and angry for what the gov are doing to my people...

How can you pay such a high amount to study in a private institution stiill you get kidnapped and the gov won't even care...and if you lucky to graduate without been snatched....you will look for jobs for years ....this is bad...

Sometimes I respect some folks selling their properties just to send their kids abroad to study....

The 180m is probably a proceed of all they've saved over the years, selling of all their assets, depriving of their other children even basic things, borrowing huge debt that may take 10 years to pay back, donation from friends and family amidst tears, all this is what raised the 180m
The 180m is not necessarily their networth or disposable income, unless you mean they should deny other children, be begging around in tears just to send their children abroad

Even you that's talking will be surprised your family will find 10m by all means if you are kidnapped with the kidnapers enjoying government backing and the government outrightly uninterested in rescuing you

If it's paid in batches, how come our security couldn't in any way track these bandits during one of the payment.

If the money was paid at once, 180M is like 18 stacks of money. If all the money were in #1000 notes, each stack will contain ten steps of two bundles each. Now the implication is that the bandits will need a car to carry it or at least 3machine.

How did all these take place and the security forces didn't in any way pick intel to track and arrest these bandits.

It's either our security forces are grossly incompetent or there is a higher authority stoping them from arresting bandits. And that authority could most like come from the presidency.

Now let's compare this.
Just last week, bandits attacked a community and kidnap villagers in Niger state. Within 3 days the vigilante of the community went after the bandits and succeeded in rescuing the victims. How often or how swift have our security agencies rescued victims after they were kidnapped.

It's so so obvious there is a power in the presidency cabal protecting these bandits. Else another power would have overridden it and pressure our security to go after the bandits.

What's so difficult about planting a bug or a tracker in one of those motorcycles? I support of your views about the case of this bandits terrorising Nigerians.

Congrats to the families. They should endeavor to get the survivors a psychological help, it must have been a traumatic experience.

Government could've gotten involved and use that opportunity to plant miniature gps devices on those motorcycles and use that to track those kidnappers.

Don't attack killer herdsmen even if they attack you just pray for them because if you try attack them the federal government will not take it likely with you and there will be consequences.
