I think going forward, its better for these dual nationality players to just make their choice behind the curtain against their usual way of raising the hope of Nigerians but last last na cruise. Its like Association of Nigerian witches & wizards. Babalawo groups, Even bitter leaf sellers Association ObiAkpor chapter dey join hand swear for d person.

Hi guys

Now that the season has finally come to an end, realistically, who do you guys think will be nominated for African Player of the Year?

My picks are:

Edouard Mendy
Mohammed Salah
Riyad Mahrez

As the clear favorites,

And:

Kelechi Iheanacho
Sadio Mane/Paul Onuachu/ Samuel Chukwueze

As outsiders

Who do y'all have?

Cc: thesupernerd, anfrewbaba444, terzurum, icon4s, elyte89
A good list. But I doubt a goal keeper will take top three

I think their national team prefer those with Caribbean backgrounds, till date only only Welbeck and Alli with 42 and 37 caps respectively have the highest caps for those of African origin. Majority of the Nigerians in their side had less than 10 caps

You read my mind. It's weird given the copius amount of Nigerians in the English football system, none have had prolific tenures with the three lions. Instead, Black carribeans have fared better with them.

Just an observation.

It's just my thoughts though but if I were and English player of African origin I wouldn't want to play for England

Saka can never make the team to the Euros with Foden and Greenwood available.

Maybe Black Caribbeans have had better players?? If we're being honest, how many top level Anglo-Naija folks have we seen in the English national team?
Fashanu wasn't that spectacular to begin with.

Agbonlahor was overrated as Bleep and a one season wonder.

Ehiogu definitely wasn't going to start over the CB options England had during that period. Same as Onuaha.

It's really not that much of a surprise when you carefully analyze it.

This is so unfortunate, this talent may end up not playing for either of Nigeria or England. I actually wonder if they have good advisers.

Seems he digs Reece James (Champions league winner) and Kieran Trippier (Champions of Spain, more versatile) more than TAA....

How are we still struggling with salaries and bonuses in 2021? Does the NFF not get enough funding or what?

Can saka still play for super Eagles
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m):
At this point, Yes he is still eligible for us. He is 19 with 4 England Senior caps but He has only played 2 official games for them. The other two were friendlies.

But if he plays two more official games then that should rule him out.
Coz the rule says not more than 3 official games before or by age 21.

I know this is asked in the light of Saka being likely dropped from the England squad. But I say we wait for the official confirmation.
Personally, I expect him to be topping the list of 7 to be dropped. I already made this call last week when the provisional list was announced. So we wait. Today is the D-Day.

Reece James has literally benched Arnold in the England Squad, of all England right backs I see James as the most complete right back. Pace, Stamina, Strength, crosses, and also versatility he got them all.
Though Arnold is good attack wise bt wn it comes to recovery speed and defence, he is not that good.

I wonder what Wan Bissaka is still waiting for, that guy should have had more than 10 caps for Congo by nw, and I think Lamptey of Brighton should also follow suit, if the whole Arnold no fit mak England squad na Wan Bissaka and Lamptey wn mak am.
I wonder who da advise this guys sometimes

The Best of 19 y/o Olakunle Olusegun in 20/21 season - Class of 2019, Nigeria U-17

*Goals, Assists, dribbles, passing Compilation

This is over 2mins of Olusegun's acts for Fremad Amager in 20/21 season in Danish NordicBet Liga and Cup games.

The first act (0:15-0:30) shows his latest goal: A solo effort that saw him go past about five players and the GK to slot in. As it stands, it is the most beautiful senior pro goal he has scored so far. Enjoy.

You think he doesn’t rate him ? But Arnold was taken to the World Cup then

I think he was dropped because of Reece James and the Chelsea guy did well this season

Walker and tripper are better to me ,walker will be playing as a CB in a 3 man defence with what I am seeing

I don't even see Kane coming to Chelsea, Lewy will never sanction that deal, Lukaku is the most likely option for now
