So Saka and TAA ended up making the list?? Interesting. I think if this was a squad of 23, Southgate would've def dropped both.
Good luck to Saka. He's earned it tbh.

Saka will dorn Jersey #25 at the Euros for the English Three Lions.

Goodbye Son.

Marvellous Bascovanveli, my good man, I believe our priority torch need not touch Saka anymore. It's over for good.
Yea they know exactly what would have happened if he didn't make that list grin

English players give their bonuses to charities so I don't see why our own case would be different. Well the ship has sailed now that he is officially in the squad

Super Eagles in Austria

Moses Simon also joins the team to make it 18 Eagles in Austria.

Updated No. Of Players in camp:
M. Simon, M. Okoye, F. Uzoho, J. Noble, W. Troost-Ekong, A. Iwobi, S. Abdullahi, W. Ndidi, K. Iheanacho, C. Awaziem, J. Collins, O. Etebo, V. Ozonwafor, A. Iwuala, A. Marcus, T. Moffi, P. Olayinka, S. Tijani.
Our main problem in this list is defence. We only have like four recognized defenders there, and only Ekong and Awaziem are decently recognizable at the top level. We might ship in plenty goals with our backline.

Our friendly is this Friday and only 18 have showed up (only 4 defenders)? Can we just cancel this Friday and wait until the friendly on the 8th?

You are quite right about the Four Recognised defenders.
- William Troost Ekong
- Chidozie Awaziem
- Jamilu Collins
- Valentine Ozornwafor

But our backline on Friday could look like this:

LB - Jamilu Collins

CB - Chidozie Awaziem
CB - William Troost Ekong (Cpt)

RB - Shehu Abdullahi.

Shehu could very well start at RB as he has always played there under Rohr and also played there a good number of times for his club in the just concluded season where he also emerged League Champion as a super regular at RB and DM.

I think this backline should hold their own with Ndidi shielding them also.

Our midfield will have Ndidi-Etebo-Iwobi depending on our starting formation. That was the midfield three that won Bronze at the last Afcon and defeated the Cameroonians the last time.

18 players including just 15 outfield players (meaning we can make just 4 subs) is quite a small number but I think we got the players that can just do enough to compete despite the withdrawals.

Our own want to give theirs to charities that need the money but the NFF are not paying the money. If only you know the many charity courses our players support, from actual charities, families (extension of extended, friends area friends etc etc).

That defense is still complete:

Shehu (RB), Ekong (CB), Awaziem (CB), Collins (LB). Valentine as sub. Ndidi also has the capability of a CB if the need arises.

In this Super Eagles squad, there are just about 2 or 3 players that we can say we will miss if they don't make the squad. We still don't have a sure starting 11. I still believe the sqaud on ground has what it takes to do the job against Cameroon.

Among the 3(Ndidi,Osimhen and Iwobi),only Ndidi we can't find a suitable replacement for his position.

Okay guys, it's official! Onuachu has arrived in the Eagles Camp in Austria. Musa also arrived earlier today.

So in Iheanacho, Onuachu and Moffi, we have a 70-goals-worth attack. Here we go...

I know na but I was talking about Saka.

U guys know how I feel about this topic. This issue gets me annoyed because even the players will be sending birthday messages and well wishes to the man in charge of the situation but will threaten to punish everyone when they get frustrated enough.

They can't have it both ways. They can't have the best president in the history of the NFF and still be owed enough money to make them ponder about not representing their country. We all need to be honest with ourselves.

In about 8 mins, Sadiq Umar takes to the field with UD Almeria in the first leg Semifinal Promotion Playoffs vs Girona away from home.

It's the battle for the Final Ticket to La Liga and it starts today.

Tomorrow will be Omeruo's Leganes up against Rayo Vallecano in the first leg of the playoff semis .

Thank you for this

Nothing dey vex me pass to see "If we had these players..." Posts.

We won AFCON with a bunch of unknown players like Mba, Egwueke and Uzoenyi, defeated teams that had Drogba, Toure, Kalou, and Keita with people that today, you fit no even pick them for 5-aside, yet, someone is still bringing up names of people dancing for teams that could not even carry any decent trophy when they had the best crop of players the world had to offer.

I love the team we have presently, I love our guys and their vibes. I no dey find Saka, Abraham or any of those people. They have chosen their teams, and the people that have chosen us, have chosen us.

Dey for who dey for you, no go dey dream of shenkes wey no send your papa when your loyal babe dey your side.

Sadiq is very fast for his height. Also good in counters. Predatory, but not up to Osimhen. I expected his finishing to be better though.
