I remember back in high school when we were about to write our Waec and neco or whatever its called now, few of my classmates went to see some herbalist, and he told them he's done all the work necessary(after taking their money) and that during the exam a spirit will float in and hand over the answers to them. i swear this na true story lol. and these boys believed him, they didn't study or anything lol. they failed miserably. I am happy that we are now talking about our problems as Nigerians and trying to find solutions but we are still not being sincere with ourselves. Years ago, we used to blame politicians, we moved on to blaming ethnic groups, we blamed colonialism and France, we even blame our neighbors at times. Today we are blaming the constitution. We will keep blaming others and the problems will keep getting worse until we tell ourselves the truth. Until we accept our own faults and accept we are parts of the problems.
Change the constitution a thousand times and we will keep on having the same problems in a thousand different versions. We are treating symptoms and complications when we should be struggling to tackle the root cause.
We are a very terrible people and until we change, we will keep wallowing in these self inflicted problems and blaming others.
