I wish I could give everybody on this thread a proper knock on the head,
What National security are we discussing with an illiterate military dictator that bans a company because of personal reasons.
This is a man telling us that he would repeat the genocide of 1967.
If you abokis don't know the meaning of civilization, go and have own country and leave southern Nigeria alone.

What's the deference between you and the Northern part of the country undecided
You guys are killing people from your own region, destroying your very own homes. I don't know if we could call it genocide or what
Talking of banning companies, the insecurity caused by ESN/UGN would inturn make companies or multinationals not to invest in your region, I see no difference Man undecided

And there it is, pretending to be educated but his hatred is showing. Since you ask, the south is more educated, richer, better infrastructure, better quality of life and on and on. Are we still a third world country? Absolutely, are we better than you in everything, ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY. You are the ones dragging Nigeria back, every indeces has the north far behind the south, as a collective the south is dragging your dead uneducated corpses. Let us go and you will see the development, join Niger if that's what ya'll want. What nonsense. You were forming intellectual and someone who has sense, but your hate don dey show.

I'm a bit nervous about the delivery of Tucano and other critical military assets to Nigeria by the American government. The Nigerian government is trying so hard to give the US reasons to invoke the Leahy's law to halt the sale of these air assets to us.
Untill those aircrafts land in Nigeria, I don't think we should be too emotionally invested on these platforms. May God help us
Even after they are been delivered, will the US let the NAF to use it in the south east if the NAF feel there is a need to do so.

Make we dey look sha.

The region being oppressed for the first time is kicking against the operation, their method is wrong and condemnable however it was obvious this was going to happen and thus people shouldn't feign concern now. When 150+ Igbo's were killed just 2 years ago many thought it funny and didn't seem concerned to condemn the governments actions, those same people should keep the same energy now because otherwise they are clearly hypocrites.

The southeast had been the most peaceful area of Nigeria for Atleast 2 decades now, I have no doubt that the current crises will pass, the days of bakassi boys came and went, this will surely come to pass.

Who in Nigeria is not oppressed? Burning and fighting in your house, isn't smart at all, especially when you built most of your businesses and assets and liabilities in your neighbours house, and you are fighting the neighbour in your own house.....this isn't 1967, there are smarter ways to get what you want, as you need is coercion from the region in politics and Nigerians would be sympathetic, if not after burning your house, you would loose what you have built with the neighbour you are fighting .
Truthfully the igbos are seen as smart, but this their recent foray, is making people doubt if they think more than money to do business and show off.

Could those other ways of doing things possibly be the way that they have been doing it for decades with no result and being slaughtered? Are you equating Igbo marginalization with greater Nigerian suffering? And did you just suggest that because of the actions of a minority of a minority that Igbo's are nothing more than money and showing off?

What genocide? It was war, don't bite more than you can chew, right now these idiots are killing cops and burning down police stations, you missed that part? When the Govt bring in its war machine now, them una go dey cry genocide again huh?
And twitter removing the comment of a sitting president is literally an insult to the country, it's not just about Buhari. I mean, I'm sure newspapers carried that comment he made, did the sky fall? Nope, life goes on.
And no ethnic group in Nigeria is civilized, i can't even count how many Okechukwu armed robbers i've seen in the news over the years lol.
Why do some ibos keep thinking they are special, none of us are, we are just people. And every Nigerian group(s) are oppressed, are notherners all rich? Nope, it's a country of the oppressed, being presided over by thieves and dark soul mother effers.

p.s:
knock yourself on the head instead, take one for all of us, i think 60 times should do it

All I'm saying is that there is a better and more realistically peaceful way to achieve what igbos want, all they need is one voice politically, if Nigeria was a good country with the right political leaders would igbos say they want to leave? Mnk is in the UK, most Nigerians in general, and igbos too are giving testimonies that they got visas and became citizens of other countries , because they know the value. Most igbos won't even trade biafra passport for USA passport, if they were offered biafra on a platter of gold. Why can't the igbo race, come together and push a candidate forward and let's see what happens then? And if per chance, this candidate wins , he can transform Nigeria, because Nigeria is better off big and together instead of broken to pieces. Look at the best country, they all have diverse cultures of people from the world, and they still function effectively.
Mind you my point about thinking igbo been smart is not a tribal slur, it just an observation, in my tribe there are certain observations people make and I'm realistic enough to know it true and not pick offense. Mind you the first person I heard complain about the way igbos think and not coming together to achieve a cause, was actually an igbo business man, and it was during the time of Jonathan's regime...and mind you this same man, writes articles at the back page of a popular Nigerian newspaper , and in this man's words.....people are protesting about fuel price and fuel scarcity, everyone is coming together, but my igbo brothers in alaba and trade fair are more interested in selling their products and making money, instead of breaking routine and coming together to achieve a cause. I'm far from tribalistic, growing up each close had 10 houses, in one close there could be as much as 9 different tribes.

They may also send the military to go and also "Quell" the potential uprising/economic sabotage to Oil installations in that region, effectively opening up another warfront/theatre.

Bleep the respect.
What do you people don't understand is way beyond your imaginations, you'll rather listen to an hypocrite in Israel.
Am from a Yoruba tribe dude and I grew up in the North, and I met the destruction caused by the Maitatsine crisis, I witnessed the Zangon Kataf crisis. I go on and on like that.
Now the BH, go to these places and see what war has done to this regions it will take to recover what was destroyed.
I will say it has the matter his, if the east turns to a battle ground young soldier would be sent there and some will die but the people that would suffer the most are the indigenes of the region.
Am not here for the likes or support, and I would not take sides. They should embrace peace there is no justification for them embracing arms !

While I would admit that there certainly are double standards in terms of Twitter's approach to Nigeria, which I believe stems from the lack of understanding of the complexities of the socio-political environment in a lot of places. I mean why have a U.K, US bureau then have a single bureau for The middle east and Africa?!

Those are how many countries fit in a single band again?

Facebook's approach is a lot different(because they have the financial muscle to do so?) They work with top tier think tanks and work with countries on an individual basis.

That's why I believe their approach to the endsars protest was a lot different than Twitter's(deliberate attempts to spot and flag fake and inaccurate post and fact-checking)

A lot of their decisions I believe comes from a lot of ignorance and perhaps arrogance? They have a generalized(radical?) View to how the world works, black & white

Twitter is filled with fake and inciting tweets, from secessionists to ethnic Nationalists etc.

A lot of violence this country has seen in the past 12 months undoubtedly generated from Twitter, mostly spurred by fake news, they must agree that they too have a lot of work to do in that regards a country as complex as Nigeria should have had a bureau like yesterday.

Just to add, the ban of Twitter is most likely to cause devastating effects on OSINT and data mining, the intelligence community would suffer for this.

Very few people used a VPN before now, the people that knew about it felt lazy to use it, that would not be the case now.

See how shallow your justification his ?
Yes I'll partially agree with you that ESN was born out of killing of innocent people by the Fulani and I console you for your loss but don't forget you where not the only region that suffered loss, Ogun State and my state: Oyo state suffered losses too" and it was not enough reason for our you to go out there to bear arms killing the Fulani's or turning it to armed group killing innocent people that they where meant to protect.
I still praise what Sunday Ighoho did but yet and don't like what how his mendli g it into politics and separation of the country. He chased the Fulani's out and also the Fulani bandits out of Ighoho town and Oke Ogun area. Ogun State communities is still suffering from Fulani attacks has we speak now, i remember sometimes time that people have to flee there communities to neighbouring country for safety and am sure you read about.
The western region has suffered more losses from Fulani attacks that the eastern part, but bearing arms to fight them will further lead to more blood shed.
