Actually, with better money and more financial investment, we can match European football.

Nigerian football has been becdevilled with low cash infusion. Sponsorship is not enough, clubs are not paying well enough, and no rich businessman wants to invest in our clubs, because they would lose cash on their investment.

The problem with a rich Dangote or Otedola or Innoson buying a club is that in order to make money on their investment, they would have to do things like charge higher ticket fees on matchday, and sell team merch at inflated prices (a Rangers shirt would cost far more than a plain white t-shirt for instance)...which would be resisted by the average fan as being too expensive...

Which would lead to the state taking over again...and we all are back to square one.

All those rich guys who buy European clubs do so to make money well well. (Abramovitch that bought Chelsea to lavish cash on like a beautiful mistress...changed his mind when he started losing money, and promptly ran the club like a business)That's why a ticket to an Arsenal game...the cheapest...costs 25 pounds...which is about 15000 naira.
