The emoji removal happened before Buhari's tweet was deleted. Update yourself. Jack gave us a new emoji with the #Keepiton hashtag. Twitter isn't feeling no heat. Na so Una shout for crypto. We will always find a way. We go unhinged. If e get who go lose, na naija govt. Na we dey borrow money. Na we broke; not twitter. Lemme still send you this screenshot. Maybe you didn't see it

Buhari and his advisers in their rage did not see the economic disadvantages of such a poor and ill-thought approach of banning Twitter in Nigeria. Pride and hunger don't go together.

This is one trait of of some monkeys here. Once you disagree with them, you become a Buhari supporter. Check some of my posts for reference, I'm a big critic of this government but unlike many idiots here, I do mine with tact and I praise the government when it does something right. You can insult Garba and Buhari from now till tomorrow, I'll just laugh (or even agree with you).

I don't know much about the cost of the ban, but I do know that Twitter is also losing so much money that could have been generated from adverts. And anybody with half a brain knows that Twitter doesn't have enough to buy even a quarter of this country. Twitter is not Google or Facebook, dummycheesy

Eyah, even Ogbeni Dipo and Omojuwa abi wetin be him name wey install Buhari don dey deny am grin... Failure no get friends. It is well with Buhari. How much is Nigeria that twitter can not buy? Goan check their net worth. With all the debt wey dey our head, na bend down select price dem go dey offer. Don't hype this nation. It is totally finished

Did our President respect his country? Respect, they say, is reciprocal. Buhari is an idiot, so it's understandable if others see him as such. It's not their fault. Could they do same to Obasanjo? Impossible

Jack Dorsey is a coward. He went after Buhari cause he thought he was a soft target. He only removed Trump after the damage he allowed him to use Twitter to do after there was a new govt he needed to kiss ass to. How many countries are in the world that they don’t have a list of the leadership?

Two. Anybody coming out to call for war on citizens is a terrorist and should be dealt with in exactly that manner. Kanu and Ipob are a terrorist organisation and so are their supporters. There is no difference between him and Shekau aside from his cowardly absence. The president had a right to remind those supporting this nonsense what happens where there is a war.

We are tired of your noise and lack of contribution you want Biafra we will give you one boycotting all Biafra and Ipob businesses go home is not an abuse. Go and have your Biafra let the rest of us focus on the real world. What is it? Na only una waka come? After murdering northerners in the East??

So because of the economic disadvantage, that gives Twitter the right to meddle in the affairs of a sovereign nation? And countries where Twitter has been banned, Are they not making far progress than a Nigeria with access?

It means people just started reporting it. Twitter can’t monitor each and every tweet so they rely on people reporting such tweets that violate their policies

People have been reporting it since the day it was put up 4 days ago.. Twitter said it didn’t violate any of their twitter policies.

And you thought you were making sense. Twitter did not even respect your country enough to not only know the President’s account but put out a disrespectful statement following it. You people lack basic human pride that is why a poor tech app like Twitter has you dancing azonto.

Let us see who in Ghana is using their app to support them opening an office there, nonsense.

So you’d rather follow a stupid leader who makes unguarded statements that can burn own his country than have Twitter delete the post?

Do you not even have a brain or you’re just not able to use it ?

Lest I forget, Why hasn’t he banned Facebook ? Facebook has deleted his senseless post too na...

Nigeria is still our country with or without buhari. Say no to twitter hypocrite. Nigeria no be America. Even Trump left them because He already lost the election he is powerless if not they for chop there Yash from him in the so called democracy nation. And am sure they would not have banned him if he had won the election. You see Jack hypocrisy. Even the Twitter was founded based on betrayal between friends.

Should have been deleting the trash coming from the empty skull of Namdiot Coward Cownu.

Guess Buhari had to put his foot down, they need to do the same against the UK. For allowing a terrorist to tweet such terroristic msgs from their territory.

Too late. Let them move with Biafra to Ghana let the rest of us continue to manage ourselves.

Not one of these idiots have an iota of national pride. Common internet blogger tells a sitting President he doesn’t know who he is and goes on to allow secessionist chats while blocking the president’s Twitter. What arrant disrespect and nonsense.

For the idiots following this base criminal tout whatever comes to you is what you have been asking for. Your general is missing but you are sacrificing your lives for a basic thief that is too cowardly to come and stand and fight for what he says he believes.

This is now where the government should engage with dialogue with the social media operators. They cannot sit back and watch nonsense happening and bear no responsibility.

See this goat. Talk for yourself jare. If you like Nigeria fine. Stop forcing others to remain in this zoo smiling with you. So pathetic

Is that not all the more reason to be circumspect if we had leadership with mature reasoning? The economic loss far outweighs whatever ego war the zombified govt is fighting. Las las, the ban will be reversed because it makes no sense. From FDI missed capital and bad publicity for the country to inconveniences to Nigerians and finally, the Nigerian govt itself, since they rely on same Twitter to propagate their lies, I for one can't see what they stand to gain.

Shame on twitter, I didn't know that outfit could be this shallow.

On a good day, twitter's algorithms can't detect every tweet that runs contrary to its rules.
Same way Bubu"s tweet was reported by many and consequent actions taken by the platform, so also MNK's should have been reported by those who feel some type of way.

In other words, #SeeSomethingSaySomething

No. You are the shallow one here.
Out of millions of tweets sent out everyday, twitter needs the help of bots or people to report tweet in order to take action.

Buhari's tweet was reported by a number of Nigerians which made twitter review the post. How many people reported Nnamdi Kanu's post? Don't forget the President backed it up with a video making it easier to track.

We should be reasonable here. Twitter cannot read all tweets immediately and take actions. This has nothing to do with Nigeria's ban. There are several tweets which are offensive that have not been deleted by twitter. Maybe you should help them report every one of them if that makes you sleep better.

They didn't remember Kanu's tweet. It wasn't reported. It was after Buhari's tweet was deleted that you BMC started reporting Kanu's tweet and hence, the deletion afterwards. And who told you that using VPN means twitter will have less revenue? Lol. VPN no dey blur out location, it changes it. Instead of the foolish country, Nigeria, we come dey show for U.S, U.K, Canada, etc. Twitter lost nothing. In fact, their value appreciated from the depreciation they had few days ago. Nigerians were trending in most countries of the globe, it was sweet to see. Also, Kanu has more sensitive tweets, but because you BMC do not want to do the right thing and report, it will still be up. If Naija govt get mind, they should permanent the ban. Lol, even them know say dem no fit. Where else will they post their lies and propaganda?

How did Nigerian government treat their Bleep up? Do you understand how Twitter operates? The problem of Nigeria is because of shallow citizens like you. Do you know most times on nairaland they usually ban you because someone flag or report your post? Twitter only deleted the king of the north post because many Nigerians flagged it.
