We do ask for forgiveness after we felt we might have sin and God might not be happy with us . But how are we so sure that sin has been forgiven by God ? |

This is what the Bible says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NIV This is an assurance from the Scriptures of God's mercy to those believers who confess their sins. We can trust that God will keep His Word. We may not feel forgiven, but the Bible does not say that our feelings have anything to do with it. It is God, not our feelings, who forgives us. If He promises that He will forgive us when we confess our sins, then we can be confident that He will. |
