Terrorists must have a different definitions in your dictionary. Terrorists kill or scare people. The only people the Easterners were afraid of before soldiers came around was Fulani Herdsmen. Now they are afraid of soldiers instead. So who are the terrorists.

If what should give you confidence of saving you is keeping you on fright mood, there is no need to have it around.

If you go around killing security agents and burning government buildings then you are a terrorist. What is so hard to understand here?

When killings and cry of the innocent becomes music to the ear, the oppressor won't be move to sympathy.
Killing of security agents and burning of government buildings is called terrorism. What is so hard to understand there.

Arsonist and terrorists are not the same.
But, how many government buildings have you seen burning. Some people took out their frustration against the armed forces which had been bias and unapologetically crude and corrupt doesn't mean you should take it out on innocent people. Why not check internally were you are getting it wrong and make amends and then win public trust so as to get feedback from them about the perpetrators of such crime to book. Using force against the innocent can only be tolerated for a while then comes the uprising.

I didn't finish what I was saying. It is not needed though because you didn't ask me for opinion.
But Twitter is owned by a man. Nigeria is owned by about 2 million people. These people gave one man an opportunity to lead the nation by majority vote. If you can confirm that the majority of Nigerians have President Buhari go ahead with the ban on twitter, then there won't be any argument at all. So, the argument comes from not the sovereignty of the nation but from the arrogance and dictatorial attitude of the president. You are free to support the president though. But at least, try to understand the error he had made and give advice from there. That is what patriotism is all about.
You're very funny. The president is elected to make decisions in the interest of Nigerians, not to make polls for '2 million people' as you erroneously put it. Not even the government of the US would bother to confirm if some certain number agrees with their policy. To to American twitter and see them disagree in large number against government policies.

As much as you you have a right to your own opinions, please be reasonable. An arsonist who targets public properties is a terrorist.
Is it not the terrorists being targeted huhWhat is this talk about innocent people being killed in the south east huhWhatever is happening in the south east is exactly what is happening everywhere in Nigeria, so why the victim mentality huh

First bringing Twitter before Nigeria's Senate or congress to account would have been the best option in a democracy. Don't you think?

Nothing stops national parliaments and senates from curtailing twitter abuse of power. It shouldn't be done unilaterally by a president who is scorned.

There is no absolute freedom of speech anywhere so let's stop deceiving ourselves.
There's freedom of speech on nairaland.com but mods still hide posts... why do you think it's so?

Say anything, but don't threaten or insult another person.

As a foreigner with progressive views I also struggle with NL policy, which is constrained by Nigeria's conservative attitude. On the flip side, conservatives have a problem with Twitter (and Western social media) which they believe stiffles their views.

But I agree I agree with u that threats shouldn't be tolerated on social media.

My point exactly. Freedom of speech comes with responsibilities. The albino cannot threaten security agents with blood shed and tell me that's freedom of speech and when the president warns them, you delete his tweet that he is being dictatorial.
So the albino has freedom of speech but the president cannot express himself huh
That's hypocrisy to me.

Gay rights, abortion, prostitution, Palestine, religious freedoms, etc etc etc cool cool cool

Your certainty will make you look stupid when you are proven wrong.

Don't ever be certain about things you don't know. I am not religious (you can check my posts on NL) and I see Israel as an Apartheid state.

For the first 3, what are your views on them? Lets run through your "progressiveness". grin

@bold grin, so why have we been quarrelling all along? But because you support Trump and his dumb Republican zombies then I've pretty much summed you up dude.

Indeed Israel is apartheid state emboldened by the United States. The same US that supported apartheid South Africa.

First 3 points, I support.

Are you this stupid?

What do you struggle with understanding the request of "For the first 3, what are your views on them?"

In SA, for such a question, the intelligent and "progressive answer" is "First 3 points, I support"?

And then you come with more dumb "certainties" of what I support.

What is your IQ and educational level?

Answer the question.

Lol grin grin you'll have to settle for " I support". It's pretty self-explanatory, I don't know what else u want: "I support because it's their bodies and doesn't affect u"?

Why don't you start with your long essay about why you're not in support and remain a conservative neanderthal, I'll respond to that.

Another foolish answer that shows your "progressive" IQ.

The question is very simple for a primary school child:

For the first 3, what are your views on them?

In your low IQ world: "I support" is an expression of "views" and makes you "Progressive". grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Nobody forces your president to use Twitter....it is by choice. . .and he also accepts the terms and conditions of the platform....he stool low to join a social media platform, he will also be subjected to the terms and conditions he signed.
But as a president, must you use your incumbent power to affect the source of livelihood of millions of Nigerians who solely rely on digital marketing for survival...like selling their products on FB and Twitter. ....

Just a question for you. .
Who force the president to stool so low and accept the terms and conditions of Twitter?

Nobody force me to come to nairaland, whatever is nairaland terms and conditions if I break any I should face the consequence of banning me for numbers of days or months or years.
Nobody no any president of social media...
Jack is a president of president in it own world of Twitter....if I delete my account on nairaland , then, I'm free from their terms and conditions..but since I have sign up on nairaland, I am under obligation to obey their rules or face ban

If he chooses to use any forum to communicate that's his choice but for a social media platform to be used in constituting a threat to national security, and showing open bias against the government then the ban is justified.
The president swore an oath to defend the sovereignty of Nigeria and neutralize threat to national security.

Typical of thw low IQ people who self-label themselves as "Progressives". They have no mind of their own, they only follow fashionable and illogical trends set for them by Hollywood and its brainwashing.

When you challenge them for their logic is when you see them struggle and know their arguments have weak foundations. grin grin grin grin

You are dodging my question...on every social media e.g nairaland, there are rules of engagement...irrespective of your title in your country, you will follow the rules of engagement of each social media before you can have an account with each social media...

It is even better that he delete his account on all social media so that all these embarrassments will not occur to our amiable president again...

Seven countries have banned Twitter in their countries and I checked all these seven countries and discovered that all these countries are ruled by dictator leaders. ..

Food for thought

Read to understand. I'm saying their is nothing like absolute freedom of speech. Freedom of speech comes with responsibilities.
So those saying freedom of speech is being curtailed in Nigeria because of Twitter ban I say freedom of speech is not absolute.
