Following Twitter's suspension in Nigeria, #TwitterBan and #Buhari are top trends in South Africa this morning.

South Africa and Nigeria are Twitter's largest markets on the continent.

Nigeria is now the butt of cruel jokes from the rest of the world all thanks to the lifeless man. Buhari has destroyed Nigeria beyond redemption

If the freedom of speech Twitter so much cherishes is real then why delete the president's tweet in the first place?
There is no absolute freedom of speech anywhere so let's stop deceiving ourselves.

Every year many young men in nigeria become disillusioned about the country and commit suicide inside their own houses by hanging themselves inside their own houses or drinking insecticides and dying like fouls when they can easily make a name for themselves by picking up arms and marching to buhari's residence in Abuja in their hundreds to boot out the source of their problems and etch their names forever in the book of history?

Why die cowardly in your house as a non-entity when you can take a bold chance and be remembered forever as heroes who tried solving the people's collective problems?

With that will come tougher government scrutiny though and similar threats of closure. But with more eyeballs will come more revenue. So, it's a catch 22 situation.

Twitter dont just delete twitt. People must have reported such twitt and the company had no choice but to delete such twitt. Kanu has made more annoying twiitt then bubu but yet none was deleted... Why? Cos no one reported such! My point of view tho

you know nothing bro!

NAIRALAND WILL SOON BE BANNED AND THE OWNER INVITED FOR QUESTIONING.

Nigerians are in for serious gagging to prepare for the atrocities they are planning to execute before 2023.

Banning twitter is just a test run.

That was hate speech.

He should even be taken to court in line with our constitution.

Better be sure you're untraceable or abroad. DSS, and other ultra-covert intelligence analysts Nigerians are not aware of, will mark you a 'person of interest' with your incitement above. Be careful not to fck yourself.

What's troubling is the fact that everyone especially the youth seem to be having a good laugh at all that's happening without seeing that there's war knocking on their doors.

Now is the time to begin readying your minds and bodies for any possibility young people, a full blown crisis doesn't seem unlikely.

Buhari is the Pharoah of our time. How this dude and all those around him decided to dig their own graves so foolishly is what baffles me. Now, the global community will be seeing him as another African tyrant, a nascent Idi Amin.

This is the beginning of a disastrous downfall.
