Face your LGA problems and leave constitutional amendment issues. APC rejected it hence their decision to boycott it that time.
Jonathan himself knows he fumbled by not implementing it. He can be giving a million excuses today as to why he didn't do it. Period.

Imagine a Governor saying he won’t comply with Supreme Court,so where is hope for a common man ?
The federal government should just stop funding the local government till he implement the verdict of supreme court

What do you mean by he must be joking ?

The Constitution is very clear on local government and I can't see where LCDA is stated in the Constitution.

This illegality and mode of embezzlement through the LCDA as to stop.

Same thing is happening in Lagos where only 20 local government is recognized in the Constitution however election is been conducted in additional 34 LCDA.

Or are we saying the construction is no longer the generalissimo of our laws ;-) (let me borrow an SAN word)

Exactly what I told people weeks ago that makinde still have a joker, that he won't pay the Development Council Area. That is why he didn't allow election into those LGDA. He will only pay the local govt recognised by law that is after the long court process. APC were foo-led on this grin
You and Makinde are jokers, supreme Court has pronounced judgment on 68 local government Chairmen vs Oyo state government. This technicalities could have been brought forward during defence. Supreme Court next move is to order accountant General of federation to deduct the due amount from Oyo state allocation and pay the Chairmen.

The governor can not be faulted on this, the Supreme court hasn't really helped matters in cases like this, as most judgement on newly created LGs by States hasn't been definite.

Same supreme court declared the additional 37 LGs and LCDAs created by Tinubu as a incohate, but urged the OBJ led government to release the witheld allocation due to the recognized LGs.

God bless you jare my brother. I stand with the Governor on this decision and I don't blame him.

This headline is false. Mods you guys should be mindful of spreading fake news. I didn’t see one place the governor said he won’t comply with supreme court’s judgment.

This is what I call power. Supreme court is dead if this happens.

However the same supreme court failed to hear the cry of the people in Imo State election. If they do not claim they are supreme court then the supreme court is creating double standard

State Assembly has the power to create development areas.

Did he not appointed officers to the 68 development council?

If not for immunity Makinde would have been jailed for his refusal.

Don't just type. Learn. It will help you academically.

His argument can and cannot be faulted. What is your position? His argument right or wrong? Are LCDAs approved by the constitution? Did the Supreme Court simplify those acknowledged as LG Chairmen?

Those are questions that make constructive criticism. Not just your hatred for his personality. You can become a Governor someday
If you are in such predicament, how will you handle it? That's the essence of social media.

But remember, he collects allocation for 33LGs recognised by the constitution, not 68 recognised by the State Assembly. The Supreme Court focus on the 1999 constitution and not the State Assembly Laws in situation like this.

Not in support of Makinde. But, was the Supreme Court explicit on the number of LGs to be paid. ? I think that's where he faults the judgement. The former LG Chairmen also faulted him before proceeding to the Supreme Court. Now, there is lacuna in the judgement. That's the beauty of democracy. T

The supreme Court is controlled by the fulanis. Oyo is presently being governed by PDP governor. So they will do everything to cause chaos in the state and watch it burn.

Why can't he be faulted? He should have first gone to the Supreme Court to get judgement backing his sacking of the LCDA chairpersons and also scrap the additional LCDAs that were created but he didn't and still hasn't. It isn't in his place to say they're unconstitutional, he doesn't have such powers.

U are right ...this was the same nonsense tinubu did in Lagos...creating local governments and expecting obj to pay them
Till date the nonsense has being turned around to say pdp withheld funds and tinubu was able to rule Lagos without allocation.
They are good at creating problems
Same thing happened in the national assembly
When gej gave Oyo the house of rep zoning
All they needed to do was align and vote
But tinubu pushed them and they gave it to tambaluwa and still blamed Jonathan
Saying yorubas didn't get anything in Jonathan's govt

Seyi is right here
Let them go back and let the court decide which of them should be paid as local governments
Enough of the confusion

The chairmen should quietly wait for the next "national cake sharing party" between the FG, State and LGA. then they can obtain a garneshee order nisi and freeze the account of OYSG. Let's see who'll cry last.
