Subzero047:
He is not above average, average is being generous, Osimhen is by far our best presser Iwobi and Iheanacho are our worst
Lets use SE standard for such. Iwobi is above average in the GWG.

Algeria vs Mali friendly

I'm not sure we can beat both teams. This Mali team will definitely beat us with this their intensity.

Lol I think they play better than the Cameroun side we faced.
What's your prediction for the Tuesday match. Will the SE win or not?

We won't, the team will be more disjointed. I think there will be too many unfamiliar faces which will likely kill the rhythm of the team. About Mali, they always choke at the big stage. Stage fright have always been their problem, even when they had kanoute, Keita, diarra etc

2 more defenders are out and won't be available for tomorrow which means to train comfortably sef will be a bit difficult for the team

BascoVanVeli:
How does that help with the left back position?
Onovo is a DM and can also function in CM position. With that, ozornwafor can play left back if the need arises or Simon plays as left Wingback. He can still pair them as Shehu, Ndidi, Awaziem, Ozornwafor if he wants 4 men at the back.

Nothing special about that Malian team actually.

We'd deal with them with even a false 9. Their gk is bold but can't try such with SE strikers.

Kano Pillars vs Enyimba from yesterday. Even though there was poor refereeing at times it still was an enjoyable game.

Iwobi's best position is behind the striker,Iwobi has no business playing as a winger,Iwobi and Nacho pairing would have been better. Awaziem plays better as a right back. Musa and Shehu should be shown the exit door
He is too slow and he is not in any way, shape or form better than Aina, Ebuehi ( If fit)

Don't know how in earth Shehu got into the team, but then we are Nigerians should we suprised.

I think we all need to be concerned about the statement Rohr made to the media that the super eagles don't have what it takes to reach the semi final of the world cup.
Even if he is right, as a coach,he isn't supposed to be saying such things.. He is supposed to be a source of motivation for his players.. Anything can happen in football. We have seen smaller teams pull up surprises in big stages when nobody expect it.

What if Rohr deliberately sabotage the team just so as to prove that he was right with his statement?

The man is clearly not confident in himself and he seem to be translating that fear to his players
Ppogbae:
Good point. His pessimism has always worried me. At first I saw it as a sign of humility but it is clearly evident in his tactical approach (or lack thereof). I’m just hoping we get things right by September when 2nd round of qualifiers begin.
elyte89:
He's only hiding under d umbrella of pessimism,so later he would av an excuse ahead like...sheyb I tell una b4 ,not knowing dt he's d real olodo here smiley
zoboizee:
It is obvious that with Gernot Rohr the Super Eagles stands no chance of glorious outing in the nearest future. He has no words of inspiration in him to push most of these guys beyond their limits. He speaks in manners i will consider as tepid and uninspiring most times in interviews in the guise of being humble that one can see surely the passion for glory is not just in him. He's constantly downplaying every performance as if there's nothing to it. We are surely on a long ride with this man of a coach.
PurpleHouse:
Rohr is low self esteem idiot. No apologies.

Chelsea were in deep shit with their team and lamp looked clueless. But see how they turned around and became champs of Europe? Every team wrote them off. But they worked it out. Teams win trophies. Not superstar. We have a collection of great players and we can beat any team on a good day with a great manager. Not this self defeating ideiot giving our players low self esteem and making them think they're not good enough.
not every whyte coach can be like westerhof..

the problem is you guys expect someone of a different race to express and project optimism, confidence and inspire an African team to glory... its your ignorance or complacency towards race that's the problem, even your pr:esident b:uuhari does not rate highly Nigerians of different ethnicity than himself...

it's normal for a whyte person to do what r:ohr is doing and the current NFF allows it because its also doing the same thing r:ohr is doing...

Too slowhuh First of all that's false and neither of them have played better than him at that position. Aina can say he has played as good but definitely not better.

He's a left footed center back. Playing as left back should not be a big deal. Do you know that Marcus once played as leftback for his club even Ekong occassionally featured as leftback for Watford last season. Necessity is the mother of invention. This is the moment.

I disagree with your assertion. My point of view have nothing to do with colour nor race. But that of personality. Whether he's Black or White concerns me not. Rohr as a person does not have that innate drive to push this team to lofty heights. Mark my word!

So Ebuka David (the HiFL university player) was supposed to take part in the Kano vs Enyimba match and he even was in the starting lineup released by the LMC but he found out his brother is the Nigerian that drowned in a lake abroad during the weekend. What a sad story. May his soul rest with the Lord.

It's either you're less than 18 years old or you're ignorant or you're playing ignorant.

A person's attitude and personality can change depending on who the person is talking to.

Most whyte people naturally don't like Africans and don't see anything good in Africans, ro:hr, a whyte coach currently coaching Nigeria has repeatedly said Nigeria is not good enough when it's his job to make sure they become good enough.

His personality changes towards Nigeria.

Another thing is Whyte people naturally don't have the " innate drive " to empower Africans and push them to " lofty heights".

Terrible news. Young man makes it out of our dysfunctional society then goes and dies prematurely in such a bad way. May God comfort the young man's family.
