Whoever you are. You didn't read any history. I do pity people like you. Someone just sat you down and told you some cock and bull stories and you fell for it. This character is usually found with Igbos. I've noticed they just claim they know history when one idiot sit them down to tell them a skewed history. It will do you a favour to read history about various tribes in Nigeria especially that of the Igbos. I also noticed where you said the Benin just have stories. Dude I laugh at you. The history of Benin is largely in the Library of Congress in UK so it's not all made up stories. And I hope you listened to Asari Dokubo when he said the historical relationship between Igbos and Ijaw was master and slave. He wasn't saying nonsense. History can back up that claim

And can Asari Dokubo prove it?
Or can he say it now?
Anybody can say anything. For example, your entire family were enslaved by my ancestors.
You forgot he said such nonsense when Ndigbo don't have access to any arm. Now everyone in Nigeria knows who the boss is that is why Buhari is looking for Pakistan and Libya help.
One on one, no black nation even with black allies can stand the Igbo nation

Hausa you say? Hausa cannot be there. I am not here to doubt the Op. We just discussed this very topic with my guys here in Abj two weeks back. The Igbos have shown to be brave. Fighting the whole country and world powers for 30 months. Repelling Miyetti Allah terror group, something that other tribes are finding it hard to do and even fighting the security agents at the same time. I think Ijaw should be there before Bini. When we talk of Niger delta militants, we are talking of Ijaw boys. Jukun should also replace Igala. Those guys are fearless and always ready to defend their lands. Please nobody should attack me, this is just my humble opinion.

Jukun

I'm surprised the Jukun are not there. Fulani shouldn't be in that list. To me, warrior tribes in Nigeria should be Igbo, Kanuri and Jukuns. They're the only tribes that have history of bravery that have maintained it even in modern times as seen with their resistance of the Fulani conquest plan. Other tribes are just noise makers that can only refer to what their fathers did such as the Tivs and Yoruba. The modern Tiv like there counterparts in the Middlebelt has used drunkenness to sell their future, while the Yoruba has used owambe and desire for flashy life to sell theirs. Jukuns should be in that list, not Fulani who are riding on state sponsorship.

Look around you, you'll see why.
I can't vouch for Igalas though.
Igbo have both pre colonial and post colonial history. Have never been conquered, no visible trace of being subdued by fellow Africans. Dragged with the British colonialists for 28 solid years in the Battle field before colonialisation (longest for any African), the revolts for slaves of Igbo origin (Igbo landing and the Maroons). Post Colonial, they dragged the Western Super powers (Britain and USSR) for 3 straight years in the battle field.
Presently, they have IPOB, ESN and UGM to vouch for them.
Kanuri has their history. Pre colonial, they defeated the Fulani forces clean. Post colonial, they have Boko Haram to vouch for them.
Fulani pre colonial Caliphate vouch for them, subdued more than half of the Northern tribes which include the entire Hausa, Jukun, Nupe, Gwari, Etsako in present Edo, Ilorin of Yoruba etc. Post colonial, they have ISWAP, Bandits and Herdsmen to vouch for them
Bini have only stories. Even Ijaw is kicking their ass at the moment. But nevertheless, the British met a stable Benin Kingdom with minor external influence, that showed proof of power. The way they received the colonialists showed bravery although it didn't last long
nonsense.. igbos that were kidnapped and sold as slaves by minority tribes? grin grin or the same people colonized by the igalas? grin grin or the same people that have have won any war in their existence? grin grin

Slavery was documented.
We know the tales and documented legends of slave traders like Seriki (The Fulani man that sold almost half of Awori Yorubas and built permanent residence at Badagry) , Izuogu, Iheme etc.
Tell me one slave trader from the minority tribe and point out the one that was bold enough to step foot into Igboland.
You should have asked yourself why they are Minorities, ie why they are small in number

Yeebos really take themselves too seriously. I don't think there's a single tribe as deluded as these clowns. Bravest tribe? Was there not where Ojukwu the Ivorien came from? What about 'our dilector"? Azikwe on "medical trip"? Thanks for the joke, though.

You and your whole family are welcomed to raid Igboland.
Or better, travel to Igboland, enter one forest and stay there for 2 hours.
Things like this are ought to be confirmed in person. Life and direct

You're very correct. I already mentioned Jukuns before I saw your comment. I even do not think Bini should be there. Even though they built a big empire, their descendants have not proven that they're worth being called brave. Moreover, it was the Esan army or rather the Esan division of the Bini Empire that routed the Fulani, not Binis perse.

Good evening sorry which of Britannica are you
referring to? And which of her book you got this information from please I'm patiently waiting for your reply.
Lelelalalele:
1. Igbo: Igbo, also called Ibo, people living chiefly in southeastern Nigeria who speak Igbo, a language of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Igbo may be grouped into the following main cultural divisions: northern, southern, western, eastern or Cross River, and northeastern. Before European colonization, the Igbo were not united as a single people but lived in autonomous local communities. By the mid-20th century, however, a sense of ethnic identity was strongly developed, and the Igbo-dominated Eastern region of Nigeria tried to unilaterally secede from Nigeria in 1967 as the independent nation of Biafra. By the turn of the 21st century, the Igbo numbered some 20 million.

2. Igala: Igala, also spelled Igara, a largely Muslim people of Nigeria, living on the left bank of the Niger River below its junction with the Benue River. Their language belongs to the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo family. Their ruler, the ata, traditionally also governed two other groups, the Bassa Nge and the Bass Nkome, who live between the Igala and the Benue River.

Traditional Igala society was politically organized as a kingdom. Kings were divine and were surrounded by numerous taboos; they held elaborate courts attended by a host of officials and servants, many of them slaves and eunuchs. All divine kingdoms in Africa had customs that acted as checks on the power of the king. This included a custom in which the queen mother could chastise the king; she was the only individual who was able to do so under the taboo system.

The Igala have been primarily an agricultural people, growing a wide range of crops typical of the area, including yams, taro, pumpkins, squash, corn (maize), manioc, and peanuts (groundnuts). Palm oil and kernels have become significant as cash crops.

3. Fulani: Fulani, also called Peul or Fulbe, a primarily Muslim people scattered throughout many parts of West Africa, from Lake Chad, in the east, to the Atlantic coast. They are concentrated principally in Nigeria, Mali, Guinea, Cameroon, Senegal, and Niger. The Fulani language, known as Fula, is classified within the Atlantic branch of the Niger-Congo language family.

4. Kanuri: Kanuri, African people, the dominant element of the population of Bornu state in northeastern Nigeria and also found in large numbers in southeastern Niger. The Kanuri language is classified as belonging to the Saharan branch of the Nilo-Saharan family.

5. Bini: Edo, also called Bini, people of southern Nigeria who speak a language of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Edo numbered about 3.8 million at the turn of the 21st century. Their territory is west of the Niger River and extends from hilly country in the north to swamps in the Niger Delta. Edo is also the vernacular name for Benin City, the centre of the Benin kingdom, which flourished from the 14th to the 17th century.

Jukun was defeated and permanently subdued by the Fulani. The Fulani rules Jukun till date. The Jukun even defeated parts of Etsako for the Caliphate (Auchi).
The Minorities that are worthy to make that list is Ijaw, Ibibio and Tiv (unfortunately). The old Tiv would have made top 3, I don't know about this generation

Presently, ESN has dislodged the 4th deadliest terrorist group in the world from Igbo forests. This one is not history. I'm sure you know Igbo fought a war with an odd of 4-1 against all of Nigeria backed by Russia, Britain, Egypt and Czechoslovakia. Military analysts who are whitemen said that Igbo would not have lost if the odd against them was 3-1. The only black tribe that could fight Western powers for 3 years while building their own weapons, roads and airstrips is not just a warrior tribe, but a great one.
