North Food Blockage To South Is Hurting by chiedu7: 6:15pm On Jun 09, 2021 |
We all know that the North has stopped or reduced food coming south. The funny thing is that its hurting the North more than its hurting the South. Infact I'm not sure the South has noticed the food blockage yet The North has nobody to sell their food to,so its rotting at source. Hence so many farmers are loosing their lively hood ONIONS MEDIA: Northern Farmers Cry Out As Onions Deteriorated, Rotted Within Their Domains In Two Weeks Refusal Option https://twitter.com/bussieojo/status/1402504185829023744?s=20 REPLIES 1 Like |

And we have a sitting president! If the North says it doesn't want to sell, they should keep their almighty onions! They have the right! (Btw, who are these northerners? Benue? Plautue? Southern Kaduna?) What they can't do is to use their sons in government to impose an economic blockade on the the East! The country has existing trade policies that are against most food imports..., Including beef, rice, Onions, tomatoes etc. All these were put in place to force all of us to consume agro products from the North. If the North has decided to do inyanga by refusing to sell, the best thing to do will be to lift the bans so that folks can import BETTER quality foodstuffs at BETTER prices from elsewhere around the world...It's that simple! Because we can't starve when we have the cash to buy! Let's buy beef from Australia and Argentina, beans from Burkina Faso and plantain from Cameroon! They will be asking for the troubles of the unknown gunmen if they insist that they won't sell and that we can't buy elsewhere.. That will be a call for fistcuffs.. 5 Likes |

chiedu7: Smh u are funny. I was listening to an Igbo man on radio lamenting how price of onions has skyrocketed y'day and here u are saying south hasn't noticed. Lol Moreover north is a gateway to other African nations. There isn't even any border so goods and foodstuff will just pass easily. There are many willing buyers of foodstuff. Hunger go kee una |
