Twitter needs Nigeria 1,000 times more than Nigeria needs Twitter.

And if any of the platforms refuse to comply with Nigerian law, they will be kicked out of the Nigerian market.

Now run along and go sing for your white master, little slaveboy.
They surely know how to whine your Mumu button. I will remind you when Lai recants. cheesy

Good policy at a very wrong time... Doing the right thing at the wrong time makes everything wrong....

To be fair, these are sensible requests.

Twitter and other social media Giants must contribute to the economy because we are their largest subscribers on the continent.

The problem is that this is not coming from a place of patriotism.

First was #EndSars#, then Twitter been headquartered in Ghana. These two major events added up to the severe pain this govt has nursed over the months. Buhari govt is trying to unleash their venom as much as they could. But they should know that revenge is a dish best served cold. An attack on USA company is an attack on USA economy. USA hardly 4give.

Biggest middle class in Africa and biggest economy in Africa, with an annual GDP of 1.16 TRILLION dollars per annum, calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity).

Twitter, by comparison, earned 1.2 billion dollars last year.

That is chicken change for top Nigerian business conglomerates, not to mention the Nigerian govt.

Twitter is shiit compared to Nigeria.
Hmmm.. Please tell me why Nigeria keeps asking for loans, why not use these your "trillions"..

It's your right to site your headquarters in a tiny country of 30 million while ignoring your biggest market on the continent.

It is within their right and no one should begrudge them for it.
They had good reasons for that.

But at the same time they should expect Nigeria to squeeze out their own fair share of revenues from them.

It's just business.

Maybe not. But they've contributed to killing and looting in the south, by allowing vicious, violent anarchists and secessionists to post on their platform.

SO THEY REMAIN BANNED.

This man will run mad very soon. They want to hand twist every available mean of expression. Revolution is brewing gradually cos these people will push masses to the extreme. To be sincere, devil is even feeling envious of evil deeds of these people. To cap it all, they are using a Yoruba man to pilot their evil agenda. May God almighty reward them back with the total darkness they are trying to push the masses into. Lai Muhammad should wait for his retribution.

And what was Zik retribution your grandfather for selling us to the North?

Just like they are a financial irrelevance to Nigeria.

Twitter earned a mere 1.2 billion dollars last year and are drowning in debt.

Even Lagos state can assist them with their financial woes.

None of which has any bearing on the fact that the regime you're cheerleading is brazenly violating the Nigerian constitution it is sworn to uphold, all for the sake of protecting one old bigot's fragile ego.

Which means very soon we will NOT be able to use facebook too, assuming those companies decide not to register as a business in Nigeria?

This will not end well at all.... the way I am seeing it.

We have always been 10 foot ahead of other tribes. Now it's no more Twitter.

The bottom line is that they want to shut down the internet. That's where they are heading to.

We have predicted it,we have seen it and we said it.

It happening and they will never stop unless we stop them.

Remember my words today!

THEY ARE HEADING TO SHUT DOWN INTERNET and it's going to be from the East.

It's going to a gradual "Phase" shutdown!
