TDS = Total Dissolved Solids;
Which can be salt, metal or mineral in water.
If you wish to refill your Tubular batteries with ordinary water (not distilled water), then I think it's important to have this device.

Circuit breaker opens a circuit (connection) in the event of fault, overload or abnormalities in the circuit. The surge protective device as the name implies protects the circuit against surge from the system (lightning, or just a heavy equipment start or shut down). The two are VERY IMPORTANT in a system.

I added a PV inverter to my system. I am shocked at the relative ease with which it was done. I know a few within the group have done the Victron and Fronius set up. This was much easier and rewarding.

Thanks for sharing, so this allows to integrate extra PV/grid capacity to existing Deye right? Nice one especially for 5kw Deye users who wants capacity beyond 6kw. Does it for instance mean a 5kw Deye will then be able to take load of 5kw+capacity of the PV inverter?

You are most welcome. Thank you for being the first to comment. Doing it from the gen port limits it to 5000 watts which is the capacity of the hybrid. Yesterday when it got cloudy and it rained the system paid for itself. I had two AC's running and I got to 97% fast and when the rains started I maintained that percentage. During the dry season, system the system will be overkill

Could it have been done differently to get above the 5kw of the hybrid? Since technical you have 10kva combined. The extra watts may be needed during the dry season.

Nice update, in summary it's a form of power assist, or adding external charge Controller, only benefit is the communication.

How much are you buying the new batteries? How long did the old batteries last?

I get them at Dealership price. I might not be able to state it here preferably offline. They come with 1year warranty and are expected to last between 24 to 30months.

The wet cell comes with 24months warranty but can last upto 5years. The snag is that it requires topping water/electrolyte level after every 6months.

Someone told me that I can connect the PV inverter to the load side of the battery inverter. I will explore and do a new video when I do
