Buhari Hopes To Retire To His Cattle Farm In 2023 by lalasticlala(m): 10:00am On Jun 10, 2021
President Muhammadu Buhari says his plan after his tenure ends in 2023 is to retire to his farm and tend to his cattle.

The 78-year-old said during an interview aired on Arise TV on Thursday, June 10, 2021 that he will keep himself busy by going to the farm daily.

The president addressed a range of issues during the rare interview, especially touching on the herders-farmers crisis that has plagued the country especially under his administration.

With many in the country clamouring for the end of open grazing of cattle which routinely brings herders in conflict with local communities, leading to bloodshed, Buhari is more interested in reopening old grazing routes.

"The problem is trying to understand the culture of the cattle rearers," the president said, as he repeated his claim that the herders causing trouble in the country are not Nigerians.

The president also expressed his strong objection to power devolution and agitation for secession, noting that its promoters are not thinking deeply enough about consequences.

Buhari refused to be drawn into talking about his legacy when he leaves office, opting instead to allow Nigerians decide.

Definitely going back to Niger Republic to continue his bloody fiefdom reign. He is not retiring to take up any peace, humanitarian, educational endowment or global advocacy chair because he never represent any.

He is not retiring to serve any statemanly responsibility because he was a failed president. He came from tending unproductive cattle and going back to same.

No, he should come and retire to Igangan as the Seriki Fulani herdsman terrorist as their supreme leader.

Bloods on your hands Mr Buhari. Your administration will go down as the most bloody in the history of Nigeria.

We will never forget your ethnic bigotry and divisive nature… only that Tinubu and ACN misled some Yorubas to support you as an expected born again Democrat. Now e don clear for their eyes.

“ It was on 13 October 2000, when words went round that General Muhammadu Buhari was leading the Arewa team to the governor’s office to confront the state over alleged killings of Fulani cattle rearers in Saki, Oke Ogun Area of the state. Buhari did actually telephone the governor that he was leading a team to his office.

In less than 30 minutes after the general informed the governor of his visit, we noticed that the entire secretariat was already filled with lorry loads of our northern military men’

After which PDP comes back into power

Which is what most Nairalanders want, rather than the actual development of our country

The past six years of Buhari's administration have taught me a few things

1.It is better to stay neutral in Nigerian politics...because people are far more interested in making sure their side wins...and thus gain access to the goddies of life...than in actual development even for their own village.

2.Nigerian politicians mostly (not all) are ready to cut their nose to spite their face

3.It has been six years, and all the prophecies that Buhari would somehow Islamise Nigeria have yet to come to pass.

4.Nigerians are not really interested in development....they all want to chop money. From Sokoto to Port Harcourt....even if it means the country gets into debt as a result.

5.Nigerians are so lazy...which is why we got Buhari. We don't take part in politics, we don't go out and vote, and we all love to be armchair critics.

6.Nigerians complain about APC and PDP....and on election day...vote for APC and PDP.

7. Apparently if you hold any opposing views...you are a BMC or an IPOB, or a fulani terrorist, or a Yourba secessionist...or a Islamist.

Ah well, the fence is a sign of hypocrisiy, but it is the least hypocritical of all the alternatives.

You can retire to your cattle ranch sir but please do not deny Nigerians for demanding a break up or total restructuring of this country and its constitution so that the different parts of today's Nigeria can grow at their own pace without blaming someone from the north, south, east or west for their developmental failures.

If you think the above call doesn't make sense, continue with Nigeria as it is.

In 10-20 years time, you'll be praising this buhari administration as the best Nigeria ever experienced.

No wonder the fulani terrorist has prioritized cows over the lives of Nigerians...

He's given fulanis the leverage to maraud and kill innocent people in the guise of open crazing...

History will never be kind to this lanky, skinny kleptomaniac we have as a president...

Smh... 'Fulanis don't feel sad when their children die, they only do when it is a cow that dies.' I've heard that several times when I was a kid. They've always placed cattle above human, so I'm not surprised the statement is true after all and I understand bubu's obsession with cattle. That's why he doesn't care about people being killed by his kinsmen.

Buhari wouldn't be on that seat till 2023, therefore there will be no retirement ranch for him to go to cos Nigerians will dispose him sooner than expected.

This I have seen.

That's the prayer of a lot of people.

Whether the Fulani herds men causing havoc are Nigerians or not Nigerians isn't the issue. The issue is the havoc they are causing.

The real issue is twofold: Buhari sees animal husbandry as a strategic industry and therefore places on it an extremely oversize role in the nation's economy and the second is his over-empathic look at the issue from Fulani eyes.

Cattle rearing is not a strategic industry. This is the 21st century! As for Fulani killer herds men, ban their entry into Nigeria. They are bad PR for your government. If you allow them to enter, then make sure they respect property and life. It is the disrespect to other people's property that is fuelling the spate of murders.

Now you wonder why the farmer/herder clash won't stop anytime soon with this thing being the head of affairs in this country.
