If he had explained it to us like this in the first place, the condemnation would have reduced.

Most of these rejections by the people is because of lack of information.

Which information? My friend please reason like a business man for once.
Leaders take decision that will develop the businesses of their people first before other people. I still don't know the essence of spending $1b dollars on a project you can't determine the economic value of it to Nigerians and you are here praising him.
Okay continue.......

Do you really understand this article? How is he preventing yoruba from mingling with their cousins?

How about closing the border between the Yoruba and their kinsfolk in Benin, while the one between Buhari and his kinsfolk in Niger leaked like a sieve; how about not building a rail-line to connect the Yoruba and their kinsfolk in Benin, while spending $1.9 billion loan (which all of us will join hands to pay back) to link Daura with Buharis’ relatives in Niger; how about plans to build a refinery in Katsina to be fed off Niger oyel, while there’s no similar economic cooperation between the Yoruba and their kinsfolk in Benin; etc!

You people must think you’re being smart in your greed, clannishness and thievery!

And people say this man is senile. Buhari knows what he is doing and is fully I charge of his senses. He's just not been engaging the public. That's all.

That people are liking this jargon tells a lot about some characters we are sharing this country with. The federal road that links Benue to Enugu is presently not motorable the same with all the inter state federal roads all over the country but our PG is busy constructing a road for his cousins in Niger republic with a borrowed money that'll be paid back with interest.

Where are all those fools and zombies that are happy every day here that the same hypocrite fulanis redrew the borders of Igboland and are forcing us to accept it? Have you seen that the fulanis are hypocrites? This fool doesn't want to accept British drawn international borders but wants us to accept his people's hypocritical locally drown borders that ceded Igbo people into other states. Wike of Rivers states must be the daftest and dumbest human ever to love. Long live the great Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for opening the eyes of Igbo zombies.

I swear you read my mind! I was just about to comment on the same thing when I saw your post. Well done!

But you don't want Yorubas to mingle with their cousins in Benin Republic.

Buhari know Wat he is doing.
Hypocrite .
Igboho will soon open the boarders

The biggest f00l I see here are the remaining yorubas who defend these bigoted fulani irridentist and terrorists. These presidiotic nincompoop is looking for ways to add foreigners from Niger into the Nigerian project, he is ready to empty the whole of Niger into nigeria because he has tribal ties with them and can easily use their voting populations to intimidate other tribes during elections. This was exactly why he shut the Benin and Cameroon borders in the south but left the Niger opened while yorubas starved to death during Corona virus period.

Do you know that millions of aliens from Niger have Nigerian voters card and passports?

Do you know how many yoruba indigenes fulani custom officers at the seme border everyday? While Niger border with Katsina is left open.

Yet foul mouthed ewedu-eating mor0ns keep shouting "our darling daddy". Tufiakwa!

yoruba use your tongue to count your teeth. Tufia!

Only armed an struggle against the fulani will reset this country.

Although true he said that, but I feel punch is emphasising the sensational part over the economic reason he provided which is a fair point.

Niger has no access to the sea and if Nigeria gets its act together infrastructurallyn, we will be the preferred route for Nigerien oil (and uranium). Imagine the attendant jobs and revenue that will accrue to Nigeria as a result of this. Not to speak of the geopolitical influence.

China is currently reviving the ancient silk road that connected East Asia and Southeast Asia with South Asia, Persia, the Arabian Peninsula, East Africa and Southern Europe through road constructions, seaport development, railways etc. in central Asia countries, Pakistan, Iran and even Europe (read about it)

If Nigeria were to get her acts right we should be reviving the ancient trans-Sahara trate routes strategically building influence in the countries that currently occupy those routes (Timbuktu, Agades, Tripoli etc) non of these North African countries or middle eastern countries would have "nothing on us". But we are to busy fighting ourselves to see the potential in ourselves
Imagine Chad not able to do business well unless they pass through Nigeria!

Just imagine the benefits we end up getting.

I hope he can do same for Niger, Cameroon and Benin Republic (I know that route is currently being constructed)

He spoke on the economic benefits more than anything else but trust the Nigerian media (mostly run by southerners) to ignore these points.

They would rather talk about anything else than what will benefit us.

I don't trust the Nigerian media one bit.

Bubu the Dullard should quit boring us with what we already know about the Berlin Conference scramble for Africa…
Point is PRIORITIES. A Lagos-Calabar “coastal” line or a Standard Gauge Eastern Line are of greater ECONOMIC importance.

This monkey that calls himself buhari keep proving Mazi Nnamdi Kanu right in all the lectures he gives. Mazi Kanu have said severally that the core north should join their cousins in Niger and Chad, while yorubas peacefully reunite with their counsins in Benin republic and Igbos join their brothers in the Niger delta and bakkasi peninsula that buhari and Gowon divided during the Civil war.

The Next war that is coming will have fulanis lose out completely, I am very sure of that. They are the ones with everything to lose.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what it sounds like…
If Nigeria breaks up, the North simply hooks up with Niger and Chad (they’ve already found oil in Niger).

You don't seem to understand international business Relationship. In this scenario, it ought to be a bilateral arrangement. You build the road and rail way to the edge of your boundary and the other country takes it up from there.
If you want them to use your ports, give them better incentives and waivers.
That's how it is done
