Wahala!!! Just the comment I have been waiting for.... "the best and brightest and finding out why when we get in"
Does PWC only take in the innovative kind of smart? Are there averagely smart people at PWC?

Hmm. So the firm is very diverse and inclusive so it employs from various academic backgrounds and qualifications.

By averagely smart, I'm not quite sure what you mean but you would find that many of your colleagues are either book smart, street smart or both. Many graduated with a high 2:1 or 1st from private and foreign universities. Though its not unusual to see public schools too especially the top ones.

Working in the firm can be compared to going to an ivy league school, just to paint you a picture. Work and learning is quite fast paced too so you need to be able to adapt fast and keep up.

HR is quick to spot talent when they see one so this is one of the things you should be looking to convincinly demonstrate on your interview day.

I hope this answers your question.

Thank you so much for the reply, however what I intend to know is about Using a statement of result issued by a University if I didn't have my degree certificate yet.

Hiiiiiii, I recognize you from last year's thread. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Please, do you have an answer for my earlier question as to what to submit if one is ICAN qualified and yet to be inducted (that is, No certificate yet.)

Bricks92:
Congrats to all who were successfully shortlisted for interviews. The finish line is so close now, you could smell it grin.

Stop over thinking those instructions in the last mail received as it's quite straightforward and simple. Again merge all your documents in 1 pdf including all professional certificates you've got. You do not need a scratch card if you have your original certificate.

Lastly, do not underestimate the interviews. Give it all you've got and prepare like mad otherwise you would regret turning up. Trust me PwC HR have seen it all so you better bring your A game. This is no jokes, the firm only employs the best and brightest (and you would soon find out why if you get in grin grin). If you've made it this far then you've got something to prove.

I'm rooting silently for you and hope to congratulate you soon. wink All the best!

Hello BeeNif. If your ICAN certificate is not available yet then you wouldn't be able to attach this to the PDF. Don't worry you would be fine, it won't affect your chances of getting in. However you can state this on your cv as qualified but not inducted yet, and be sure to mention this in the interviews. If you have any other professional qualifications relevant or not do attach them too. All the best!

Save the PHR forms and your credentials as one pdf file...
You should be careful with the pages.

I'm not sure what you meanwhen you say engineering units. PwC audit LoS comprise the following units

Consumer and Industrial Products & Services (CIPS)
Technology, Information, Communication & Entertainment Services (TICE)
Financial Services (FSIP)
Energy - Oil & Gas
Government & Public Services (PSG)
Digital Risk & Cybersecurity (DRC)
Commercial & Data Analytics
Internal Audit
Governance, Risk & Compliance
Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS)
I hope I covered all cheesy

Yes by the unit names, you could guess the kind of clients you would be auditing grin grin grin

However placement to any of these units is at HRs discretion not withstanding, you could strongly express your desire for any of the units during your interview, who knows you just might get it wink

The popular business units in Tax are: Transfer Pricing, Tax Reporting Strategy, Corporate Tax Consulting. I don't really know all of it, but I hope this helps.

Good day bro, please I choose advisory in error somewhat though I hv the 1yr minimum experience but I've been curious how to face the interview as there's been very few comments or insights on Advisory role.

Please can u intimate me on what to expect especially for the interview.

I also learnt assurance got more chances entering as compared to advisory.
Thank you

Hi guys, thank you for the messages, I just went through the thread and found it so helpful. Anyway, I am at the interview stage of the graduate recruitment and although I put in for audit I would want to change to advisory now, please is it too late or can I still mention at the interview.
Also, if I can't change to advisory , I already have 2 years experience in audit from a medium firm can I possibly mention this during the interview and bargain for an associate 1 role insead of a graduate trainee.

Why advisory though?

First don't go there talking about advisory at this stage. Second you could move later if you so desire. If I were your interviewer and you start mentioning advisory not sure I would be interested in you or anything you have to say.For one I need someone decisive.

For the experience role, just focus on your interview for now. You could ask it as a question at the end of their interview and read their reaction. Good luck
