if she is in Lagos, PH or abuja she will need her NIN to get a passprt and as such must first change her name on the nin to husband’s name.
Change of name on Nin is 500 naira.
Visit remita and make paymnt to NIMC, Print off the receipt and with ur other documents for change if name present at nimc office.

Back to the ppt matter,
If she is not in d above states, she wont need nin. She can go ahead and fill her husband’s name on ppt provided
1. She has not been issued a passport before in her father’s name
2. She has newspaper change of name
3. She has sworn affidavit of change of name
4. She has marriage certificate

Please what if she has passport in her father’s name and wants a renewal in her husband’s name, thanks

Some people are heartless, especially in the south there, me just paid 24k and they were even telling me to be patient that I would soon be called in for verification. Desperation cause them to be collecting money from you guys. For example I apply for a change of name of my driver license, one official bill me 10k and said it will be out fast fast and I insist instead DIY, though it's not out but I don't care because I don't need it urgently. Don't apply when you need it urgently, apply several months before you need it so that by the time they finish there paparazzi u will get it at last and spend less. Point of advise

please does NIS officials respond to complaints on the provided services email address?? I did DIY and submitted my documents physically on the 10th of may. I returned there three days ago for capturing and I was told they couldn't find my file. I went there today and it's the same story. I then saw a number displayed at the reception and email address for reporting unsatisfactory service and copied it. I called the numbers and they were switched off. What's the guarantee I'd be attended to via email??

Please has anyone here done DIY through the Benin city office, let me know if to proceed or not. Any feedback as per how the Benin centre runs, I don't want to apply and end up not getting my passport in months

Call the NIS contact number on the website or this one 01 454 1452. A lady will pick it, talk to her and she will assist. They always respond to my call and emails both servicom and nis support team.

the only place u can renew wit NIN is Lagos Abuja and port Harcourt. You use d old pp name and renew in any state apart 4rm dis three state

I think so; at the point of collection, they only needed to know the reference number and full name of the passport I was looking for. Because of the volume of passport they had to treat, it's a matter of listing to your name and you are handed the passport if you signal that It is what you're looking for.

But, I'm not so sure if one exit with it Just like that, because at the point of activation the lady asked for my identity and checked it against the passport I was collecting, coz I told her it was my wife's.

On reviewing the way things are at ikoyi, the system seamed very easy to get away with someone elses passport. I hope that doesn't happen because it will be really heartbreaking.

Immigration officer are the most corrupt uniform work in Nigeria someone ( Mr sylvester okoh that I engage since 11th of December 2020 for DOB correction uptill now he's still telling me story decieving me. I went to servicom in Ogun state to report him they did nothing despite giving 1thousand naira card.
