SIMPLE THING.

Not too difficult to accept. They messed with the wrong country.

Ordinary app 4 dt matter. Can u imagine.
That's d by-product of deep-seated hatred, bile and bitterness.

Twitter made a statement in which they said they don't know President Buhari and which country he runs.

When you're blinded by hate and self imposed narrow mindedness, you will applaud someone who is clearly insulting you.
Most Nigerians who are sympathetic with Twitter today don't know how much of an insult this comment is to even them.
They see Buhari as the target here but there are two elements in this insult.
Twitter says they don't know President Buhari.
But they didn't stop there.
They also added that they don't know the country he is leading. In other words they don't know Nigeria.

Twitter is brazenly saying they don't know Africas most populous nation and the country with the highest concentration of black people in the world. Twitter is brazenly saying they don't know a country where over 11 billion dollars of their revenue comes from with over 40 million subscribers.

Some years ago Pastor Chris Oyakhilome chose to use twitter to communicate some prayer information to Christ Embassy members worldwide.
Within few weeks Pastor Chris broke the records of having the most amount of followers within such a short period.

In their arrogance, Twitter called Pastor Chris' twitter account to question and described the followership as bogus.

Simply put, Twitter believed that nobody from a place like Nigeria had enough clout to garner such followership within such a short time - a feat that no Hollywood star was able to achieve -.

We Rise!

I am not surprise buh i thot shame would keep you away, ....
when we all sign up to twitter we agreed to terms & condition, which means twitter have the right to regulate our actions how they deem fit. Did twitter act within its right, fvcking yes.
Recently a young man slapped marcon france president, guess what court decided the case not macron and the guy was sentenced to four month in prison. what is a deleted tweet compared to a slap on live tv ... if it were to be buhari that guy would av been dead by now or 1km to hell's gate.
My point is buhari has no constitutional right to ban twitter regardless of how he feels or how you feel. ... if buhari could go on foreign tv to insult nigerians nd feel he is only expressing himself why should nigerians feel insulted a foreign media insulted there president. just yesteday on arisetv he said the reason for high unemployment is because the youths are misbehaving. is that a compliment.
You said something that i like about pastor chris, he did not like twitter action he simply left, why did he not command is members to deactivate from twitter or threaten to lay curse on any member stil using twitter, doesnt make sense, trump also moved to creat is own platform. Buhari can borrow money for africa buh he can't just borrow sense to rule nigeria. if twitter is nof registered or paying tax in US why would it wana do so in nigeria.

You really think they are begging ? Trust me , the US Government is involved, this is the last statge before they start imposing sanctions on Buhari and team. grin

Also, remember TWITTER INSISTED ON FREE and #OPENINTERNET. Twitter will never chose your useless leaders over their millions of progressive followers in Nigeria, not in a million years.

No budging.

cool

One thing I admire about ipob idiots is their distinct skills on self-deception. Where was this same "free internet" when they banned TikTok and Huawei? Where was their sanctions when Israel was destroying media houses anf killing civilians in the process?

I have come to realize that many ipoop and other enemies of this country simply want us to return to colonial era. They want us to lick the smelly butts of white men just like how they did to Jonathan and Israelites. Tufia!

Lol U.S is too scare to loose Nigeria to China and Russia.... Already Buhari is more of a Chinese man economy policy than America .... And Buhari no even send America or EU. American government issued Atiku visa thinking they can influence the pattern of votes in the last election after telling us that Atiku is wanted in their country for criminal charge but they met a match in Buhari who they thought they can control. Once a general, always a general... Even Obasanjo, TY Danjuma and Abdulsalam have accepted their fate on Buhari grin

Buhari is forcing his alliance (ally) on those countries, and I bet you, buhari may not laugh last!

For one thing, Russia don't export their technology: so what's there to share with them? Weaponry? Perhaps.

On the other hand, China has one of the worst trade deals in the world; Nigeria should be wise enough not to rely on them. Not even a circumstance should push a nun to whoredom.

I want us to know that when a new leader with a good economic team assume power, I bet you, nigeria will take a wrong turn at china and we'll know then, unlike now, who the Chinese really are.

The likes of T.Y Danjuma, Obasanjo, Abdusalam are in their lane for the right reason. Don't ever force your relevance on any human being. Never!

IT IS PREFERABLE TO BE ROUGHLY RIGHT THAN TO BE PRECISELY WRONG

You are obviously behind the time. Do some reading instead of parroting fake news.

1. TikTok was not banned.
2. Here is the context of the Huawei ban ;
'The Huawei ban prevents Huawei from working with US-based companies in the creation of its products. It doesn't apply to consumers who currently own a Huawei product and doesn't prevent them from buying new ones, either.12 May 2021'

You know nothing about international policy. Nigeria is Africa largest economy and 21 largest in the world. Anywhere Nigeria go can easily influence other Africa countries and America or EU doesn't want that. China is the second largest economy, imagine the combinations of China, India, Russia and Nigeria? Remove Britain, Germany, Italy, France and Spain other European Union countries cannot match Nigeria economy, Lagos state economy is even bigger than that of Cyprus, Hungary, Croatia, Romania etc. In a nutshell Nigeria is a big market and no responsible country that is looking for where to invest will ignore. It's not about the colour of your skin cos I know many of you think anything America is supreme..... grin

You know nothing of Geopolitics, my friend.

Twitter, like Facebook, GE, Boeing, Yahoo, Google, etc are symbols of America's power and influence.
You see the state from the US State Department yesterday?
It happened because Twitter lobbyists in DC made a move yesterday.
The United States has (for the first time) overrided the UK and gotten involved in this matter.

If you think they will go to sleep while the Nigerian regime makes a deal with China or Russia for a Twitter-replacement or some firewall, then you are JOKING.
They can't do shit, they have no stake in Africa other than to protect Europe against any migrant crisis that may result if a war breaks out and for France to continue doing its exploits.

What they're really scared of is the flow of finance, where d Chinese yen replaces the dollar which will deal a huge blow to the American economy because they can't rig the system anymore with qe.

Simply put, Twitter believed that nobody from a place like Nigeria had enough clout to garner such followership within such a short time - a feat that no Hollywood star was able to achieve -.

Pastor Chris wasn't prepared for their drama, he pulled out of twitter and challenged his church tech people to design a platform that the church can use. That's what gave birth to Yookos.

Today Yookos is a formidable competitor with Twitter so much so that ex President Barack Obama acknowledged the giant strides made by the platform within such a short time after it was launched.

Eventually twitter confirmed Pastor Chris' account and "apologized" but it was too late.
Pastor Chris had moved his huge followership into Yookos.

Several years later Twitter is saying that they don't know the country that the same Pastor Chris comes from.
That's arrogance taken too far.

Any Nigerian who tolerates this insult is just a self hating sychophant.

Someone says you and your country don't matter and you're jubilating.
Is that not a serious sickness?
