Majority of Nigeria’s gas supplies is pushed towards Lagos through the west African pipeline system. That’s why Lagos has more stable electricity because lots of private and PPP entities just build their own power generation and connect it to the gas network.

This makes it easier for Lagos to have high rise buildings

The gas pipeline only power specific industrial estates.. Generally lagos do not have light

Yes I agree but lack of power supply usually affects regular people in Lagos. Those living in highrises have their own power supply that is separate from the public utilities.

That's if it's above 10mw ...what we need in the south east ( igbo land ) is a gas pipeline master plan

Ohanaeze needs to get every igbo subgroup to declare they are igbos or not ...let's know the map of igbo land first

Once that's done we map out our gas master plan ...in such a way that ... neighborhoods can come together and build 1mw to 10 me and power their homes n business

Companies can build power plants and power their industries then our quota of national grid is sent to the vilages
What we need is Biafra, away from any Nigerian brigandry and bad bellicks.

Grassroots development is the way out of the chaos. People need to go back to their roots, hold the leaders accountable and start the fundamental change from there.

I hardly have time I would have been covering these areas, it has been long I visited harbour industrial estate, last I went there I saw new projects, the new area mapped out for industries is Ozubulu, Sea horse, Jolly Jolly noodles and others, next governor will focus on roads to the new industrial estate, with second niger bridge in that area will boast business and developments in that axis, Anambra is on the right track we just need technocrat to consolidate on the present administration legacy, Seplat gas project will aggressively boast businesses in the east especially Imo and Anambra, Aba is enjoying Shell gas now

Jolly jolly is located at nkwo to nkwo road oraifite..

The road is called Nkwo to nkwo because it leads from nkwo Oraifite to nkwo Nnewi market

From the map, it looks like Anoh gas production is being channeled towards the north and west and away from the east. Are you sure this is not robbery in broad daylight masked as investment.

Yes

Eastern, West and north

Yes they do generators but they also use what is called embedded power. Those manufacturing industries that connect to gas networks sell their excess power generation to high end residences at premium. The advantage is more stable electricity for them.

For Igboland to fully develop, nnamdi cownu and his ipooos/Ipob must be destroyed completely.

Getting built up is different from development so I go with the OP on his choice of caption which is expansion. Going by our limited landspace we rather not celebrate rapid expansion but real development instead. The way I'm seeing Nigeria it will be difficult for Igbos to achieve real development.

Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG) has completed the final phase of its 20km domestic gas pipeline expansion project in Abia State, connecting Agbor Hill, Osisioma and Araria industrial zones.

On individual level, development is happening rapidly and is quite impressive. BUT On societal level, we a lacking so much there. We lack many critical development infrastructures. This is something government typically does in functioning societies but unfortunately we are in Nigeria.

So the best way forward now is for us IGBOS to take over infrastructure from the government. That is the only realistic way we can develop while staying in Nigeria.

This is the reason why I brought up what SEREDEC is planning to do.

Yes I remember this news. I can’t wait for things to fall in place so we can unleash our industrial potentials.

I totally agree with you. The major setback remains convincing diaspora Igbos to believe in Nigeria. A lot of diasporans are extremely wealthy with advanced idea but will never bring it back home cause they don't like the way Nigeria is being run. Look at this guy from diaspora for example who brought a new idea on road construction to his village in Umungasi, Abia State. He is 100% financing it and I'm impressed with the outlook.

This is so good.
Virtually every street in the East should be able to afford this if they do proper fund raising.

We are smarter than northerners there are loop holes we can explore to our advantage

If your power plant is not more than 10 mw u don't need to transfer it to national grid

We can build 50 10mw across anambra instate of one 500mw

There is no need to say we are smarter than anyone, just make the point.
Yes, 10MW is doable, Fashola made that clear three years ago.

It is best for streets with high pedestrian presence and less vehicular movement. I have a feeling it might not withstand heavy duty trucks.

It wouldn't.
Yes! Pedestrian streets would benefit alot from it.
They can put height restriction entrance gate at the entry and exit points to ensure heavy trucks don't gain access.

True, but many SS states have same gas pipeline but haven't been able to turn it to their advantage. Obj did the lagos-ogun axis gas pipeline which helped turn his state ogun to an industrial hub, Buhari I'd doing the AKK gas pipeline to help industrialize Kano,Abuja and kaduna (that gas pipeline will enter Niger republic one day).
The only industrial gas pipeline in the SE was a collaboration between a Eastern government and Shell during the construction of international glass industries Aba.
It's very important that the governor of imo use the opportunity of the anoh gas project to deliver gas to industrial Estates in imo, it's also very important Anambra government develop it's massive gas fields.
Just as we got tired of waiting for the Federal government to give the East a befitting international airport and began building two , the governor's of the East should pull resources together and get gas pipelines into our cities

Ibeto played into the federal government hands, he forgot that Nigeria can never forget whom he is. He has been given the nkalagu cement plant, and for over 4 years now no tangible update. There isn't a cement manufacturing industry in the East today, despite the fact that we had the first in Nigeria. Develope the Nkalagu cement plant and he will have dominance in the East at least

Exactly!

So many Igbo traders in the north have all built a house in the East and brought their family down here. Now it’s just them left in the north doing business.

If anything happens that they need to run, it will be easier for them because they will be running alone. And even if they get cut up in a crossfire, they would die alone unlike the 1960s when so many Igbo men died with their families and their linage exterminated.

Igbos are wiser now!

we are also seeing a rise in first class facilities down East, unlike before our people will site such facilities in other zones.
