Good day everyone,
Does anyone have a contact in Lagos that can process passport urgently.

Thank you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Callioge: 9:39pm On Jun 13, 2021
Thank you sir, I studied economics and applied for business analytics. My husband was my sponsor too. There was adequate funds too. Thanks for your response when the notes arrive I will let you know. Thank you so much
JustMellow:

Hello Callioge,

I believe your program correlates with your experience, you used a close family member as a sponsor, and had sufficient funds?

If the above is correct, upon the arrival of the notes, you will get well-equipped suggestions.

Until then, keep following the thread and researching too.

Best of Luck

Let ur sponsor give u a letter of sponsorship, signed affidavit of sponsorship, show commitment by paying ur tuition (even if it is just a full term) since ur 6m if no unexplain lumpsum can serve as living expenses and other miscellenous. Then show employment prospects letter from ur work place and use ur family if u are married as home ties if not ur parents and a bonf of return for job can be used as hometies aside propertises.
Finally answer any previous visa rejection truthfully and state reasons in the IMM form and explain it well in ur LOE. Also mention each refusal reason in ur loe and how it has been tackled with documental evidences to corroborate ur story.

Hello please I have a question. If your current work does not connect with your program how do u tackle it to prevent a rejection. Thank you

Please I have a question.

I don’t have a waec result. My neco result is available and I have a B.Sc. The school I applied to in Canada (Toronto school of management has offered me admission with just my neco result. Do I have to submit a waec result to the embassy for my application or will my neco result suffice.

Please I need to know before I pay the tuition deposit and apply for my visa.

Hi guys. Please this is urgent.
I am about to register for the GRE exam at this lesson center in Surulere (this is where I’m doing my GRE lesson). It costs 65,000 here for the GRE exam registration but I’ve met 5 other lesson centers that charged me 88k, 96k, 120k, $205, $230 respectively for the same GRE exam registration.
Now I’m a bit confused. Do I go with the one in Surulere? Is that the correct fee? And why do the other lesson centers charge different fees? I asked 2 of them and they said that people charge what they can for the exam registration.

Hi steph... its possible to have varying prices. when i registered for GRE OCT of 2020, it was 50k i paid. reason for this varying prices is because some "Agents" get to use vouchers which is quite cheaper and provides some sort of discount because they register a lot of candidates so they receive some form of incentives from ETS. Also, i think the price of GRE itself is about $226. so @226*500* might give around that price.

Also, Please be careful of where you want to register. Issues of charge back occurs very frequently.

I hope this suffices?

Just submit your bsc certificate and transcript if you have it. Your waec don't matter if you're not going for an undergraduate program.

Personal assets and financial status means alot of things u need ur gcms notes to get a clear and consice picture of what the vo is saying.
Are u employed? How old are you becos a matured applicant been completely sponsored will raise an eyebrow. Do u have some amount in ur own statement of account too? Lots of angles so get ur gcms notes
Also a gift deed of property transfer from ur dad can also be done to boast ur application.
Every thing done must be well explained that is each of the refusal reasons and how it has been tackled in ur LOE

I am 27, but I would 28 this year. I am employed

It depends does ur 1st degree tally with the course u are applying for? If yes what program are u applying for? If it is advanced than ur degree that is msc or pgd u can tailor it convincingly in ur loe and adding what advantage it will give u upon return back to nigeria.

My First degree was biochemistry, cell and molecular biology. My current job is a health research officer in the hospital( mainly data management, operational research and data support) and now I want to Occupational health and safety management. Looking at it now, I don’t really see a strong connection. So I am thinking of changing my course totally to Health informatics but I am scared to would raise suspicion.

Ok, this is duly noted ... thank you so much for your response

Zodiacwarrior:

Good day @LholarB

If you are paying application fees and using flywire and your naira card keeps declining you can try selecting the paying in other currencies option.
1) use your dollar card if you have one or your barter card.
2.)create a bank draft with the college and take it to the bank and pay using form A the exact amount would be deducted from your account.

Hope this helps.

Anyone using third party for payment should be careful and make findings that the agent or whoever is trust worthy because of charge back.

It’s sad to see 5 year ban on something that could have been avoided.

Happy Sunday @emmalextemtop

Being sponsored by your company doesn't mean your chances are slim but there has to be some commitment from the company e.g paying part of your tuition fees.

You also have to let the vo know why they are sponsoring you and what they stand to gain in return.

Below are the list of documents needed

Sponsor Documents (Company)

1. Letter of Sponsorship
2. Article of association and memorandum
3. CAC CERTIFICATE
4. Particulars of directors in the company
5. Tax Clearance Certificate
6. Company bank statements for the past six (6) months.
7. Board Resolution Letter stating that they are fully aware of this sponsorship and approve it.
8. Affidavit of Support
9. Business invoices

Hope this helps.

Okay, thanks!

1)Part payment of the full fee has already been paid. $9,700 out of 18,200 and this is base on one of the conditions of the granted scholarship, that half will be paid before study while the other will be paid at the inception of the study.

2) For the reason of sponsorship, it is an offer of scholarship to study abroad.(though it has conditions and requirements that i meet)
So, there are conditions and privileges of the scholarship, which some states i have to come back to the company to work and exercise my expertise in my portfolio and that the sponsorship only covers the year or years of study only.
Am not just being sponsored by the company, but privileged to receive an offer from them(through the discretion of the chairman by a memo, passed in 2017, that the company will love to sponsor one of her educated staffs, as the chairman of the company is into empowerment programs of helping people and all, and he has decided to stretch an arm of help to his workers, by offering a means of sponsorship for a post graduate education in any of the european countries...)

3) Or with this, is my case so perculiar, is it very rare, not convincing?

4) What is the difference between particulars of directors and board resolution letter? Is board resolution letter not enough?

Thanks!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by fav2deep: 3:36am On Jun 14, 2021
Good morning guys, I have been reading updates from this site. Firstly, I am already skeptical about the chances I have. I had a masters in a European university and got back to Nigeria in a record time.
Now, I made applications, it was rejected on the grounds that I got no ties and all.
I have been reading through and noticed that people say, having an uncle sponsor and all won't get much from IRCC since it has to be from parent and all. I have some funds in the acc when I was reapplying like let's say 12m but didn't categorically say I'm self sponsoring, I still added that my uncle as a Co sponsor.

Does this mean I have no much chances cos I used an uncle who doesn't bear same surname. Is this a visible red flag?
