Petrol Station Manager Dies In An Underground Tank In Delta State by MrCover: 2:54pm On Jun 14, 2021
UGHELLI – There was palpable tension in Ughelli, Delta State, after a manager of petrol station, Mr. Dennis Ikroje, died after being discovered in an underground tank by a co-staff.

Though the circumstances surrounding his death could not be ascertained at press time, sources said the man who was said to be in his early thirties, reportedly went to work very early on that faithful morning at the petrol station situated along Ughelli/ Patani Road and allegedly went to the underground tank with 20 gallon and a hose for yet unknown reason.

The source who pleaded anonymity, alleged that when other workers resumed, they discovered the manager was in the manhole leading to the underground tank struggling for breath.

It was gathered that the workers immediately raised alarm which attracted the guards and other people around, the source said.

The source added the manager was immediately rushed to a clinic but was referred to the Central Hospital, Ughelli, where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.

Efforts made to reach the management of the petrol station and family of the deceased manager for comments on the matter, proved abortive as at press time.

However, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said he was yet to get details of the matter.

So I learnt that Baba came to work very early before others had resumed with empty gallons, a galvanised pipe and funnel to siphon petrol from the underground tank of Chief Oshasha's filling station.

But he forgot that it is not everybody that serves our God who is a merciful God.
Chief Ovuoke Oshasha is a proper businessman and Mazi Obasi Lawson (Sobaz Oil) is not only an Arochukwu son but also one who goes all the way to ensure the growth, safety and success of his investments.

When the rest resumed for duty, they found baba inside the tank diligently drinking petrol like Hennessy VSOP.

Too bad he learnt the hard way that you shouldn't steal from where you work but his story will serve as a good example.

This is a reasonable allegation.

Even me, I was wondering what he went down to do what those items, and most likely without the knowledge of other workers.

Besides, even if such is neccesary, as a manager, that isn't his job, he can only give directive to the appropriate department.

As earlier stated, this is just an allegation but proper investigation should be conducted to unravel some of the mysteries.

RIP.

From The Information Gathered By , Mr. Dennis Ikroje reportedly went to work very early on the morning of June 9 at Sobaz Petrol Station situated along Ughelli/ Patani Road and allegedly went to the underground tank with 20 gallons and a hose for yet unknown reasons.

He said: "I suspect that the man was killed and his body dumped inside the manhole.

"Till now, the management of the petrol station has not deemed it fit to inform the family of the deceased about what happened."

What a funny story.

He was found in the "underground tank with 20 gallons and a hose". The family suspect he "was killed and his body dumped inside the manhole". But the management, which he was, and who is now dead "has not deemed it fit to inform the family about what happened".

Make dem wake am ask am now?!?

Could he have walked in on someone siphoning fuel from the underground tank, who decided it was best to put him to sleep?

Where was the security guard attached to the facility in the midst of all these?

This death is questionable and deserves to be investigated thoroughly.

The deceased family are right to suspect foul play.

Especially SOBAZ !!!
You don’t steal from that man and go free.
Over here in pH, his workers don’t attempt stealing because it has never ended well with those that stole from him.

They even accuse him of being an occultist cheesy
