My take on the issue of contacting your state’s commissioner (FCC).
1. They also have family and close friends
2. You might end up giving your details which can be used to be swapped with their on candidates.
3. Trade with caution.
I laugh. If you have any commissioner, you'd better call because, to start with, you chance of getting in without connect is low. Again, they don't need anybody's details to remove a name and replace with their candidate. The risk is worth it and far more rewarding than hiding something you know you might not even qualify for based on merit, owning to the level of competition.

Thus reminds me of when I was trying to cover my book in an exam hall from my friend. Somehow, guyman still managed to see and called my attention to a huge blunder I had done. He eventually saved my azz which I thought I was doing him. That was the last time I covered my book in any exam. It still saved me a lot moving on.

My take on FCC commissioners

Shoot your shot. You have nothing to lose contacting them especially your state commissioner. They are there because of you not for just there relatives.

Some years ago, I contacted the one representing my state but his response makes me feel rejected but guess what I didn't give up. It comes to a time, he knows me by name and no closeness or bond BTW us in family or friends way atall. I applied for one big agency under Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, he later told me Governor of my state n top notch pple has their candidates n you know who nominate who for the position of FCC commissioner. But to the glory of God, God still used him for me to got where am working presently without paying a dime. He even brought my appointment letter all the way from Abuja to South West.

Key: Be prayerful n b consistent. Have open mind for any other offer n let this be made known to him/her. Don't let a week goes without contacting him/her weda thru calls or texts... Trust God to favour you

To clarify rumours going around about FCC interfering with this recruitment. It's just a false propaganda. FCC had already been given few slots prior to receiving recruitment approval.

Interview was suspended because of the various board projects behind this recruitment would just be completed by last quarter while the much-awaited project Train 7 ground-breaking was done today and work to start soon. I believe we wouldn't expect the board to recruit new-intakes and start paying salaries without productivity.

For the experience hire, kindly be active on LinkedIn as Saipem and other contractors have started recruiting for this project. Please keep your options open.

I'll keep you all informed once things are in place

Be prepared as you patiently wait!!!
